They talk about the mattress episode that Opie saw and Mike says that after ten years of use a 60 pound mattress ends up weighing about 75 pounds -15 pounds of dead skin and bugs and food and stuff.



I just learned about it! I did throw one of the mattresses that from my friend gave it to me for another bedroom! I am glad that my family doesn't sleep on that mattress! :ugh:

LOL....No, I didn't watch it. And as for mattresses, I would never accept one from anybody. Friend of mine did, and her kids got lice!
And ya never know if the mattress has bed bugs, crabs, etc., or know who has had sex on it!

Good idea is to buy mattress pads to protect ur mattress and keep it clean. The mattress are expensive! And every few months, turn the mattress over.
I still hate to spend the night at hotels/motels because of never knowing what's in the mattress.
 
One time i was being wild in a hotel room... the bed slid over.

We found two playboy magazines dating from 1986.

That was an interesting find and lets you know how old these mattresses are.
 
That's why you would need to get the sheet clean up every week instead leave it for a month. Our skin dig deep and end up in mattress.

You throw away the mattresses and you don't throw pillows away? Cong, You and your daughter got sick so easy. Your parents failed to equip you with this information growing up. I learned about mattress and pillow when I was young age from my parents.

We replaced the new pillows each year.

simple - when you buy a new mattress, put the plastic mattress cover on it and it'll still be new after a year.

Come on, no need to say some stuffs to her. everyone have their ways of learning many many many things that paretns happen to forget to tell children. Impossible to tell everything at once. thats why we all are learning new things everyday.

one day, you become a parent (real soon), then you would understand why. Just be nice. :)
 
Several months ago I watched a cool program called The Verminators on Discovery Channel and one of their episodes was about the bedbugs. Mike, Isotech co-owner and star in the show advised to a foreign student who got alot of bed bugs on an used mattress that she bought below:

Don't ever buy a second hand mattress.

Health is more important before too late. My mother and I have dust allergy, so hard to forget about teach.
 
A allergen mattress cover will take care of the problem. I has to be the kind for allergies.

Did I say that mattress for my daughter's bed or my bed? You are wrong! :doh:It was at extra bedroom which I am glad that my family example my brother, cousin or friends didn't sleep on that mattress. By the way, it's very good condition. In addition, my friend told me its rare use and been in storage for long time. ok Did I say my friend give me the pillow? I didn't say it okie! :ugh:

Umm You are big misunderstand. I never said about mattress. I said you SHOULD replace the new pillow once a year. Who said friend?
