Dirty Hotels: What's in ur Bed?

true story, I grabbed a clean washcloth provided by my hotel and when I looked at it, I found pubic hair on it. no, it isn't a chest hair or regular hair (if it is, it's still gross). I know what a pubic hair look like because I do my husband's (and mine) laundry so I know what I saw. yuck.

Anyway, I'm not afraid of sleeping on hotel bed. But my eczema (sensitive skin) is. If it have dustmite, I will break out, and I have broken out on hotel bed before. I rather sleep in my van, but I got to have my shower.

It's true about the bed spreads. A while back I was a housekeeper for a hotel and we were told to only wash the bedspreads once ever 1-2months!

Mariott:

I asked a friend who works in the laundry room about the frequency of washing the bed spreads -

He said every time a person checks out, unless it was a longtime client that requested a wash.

Could you pass that thru again; I didn't get it.

Mariott is an higher end (not that ritzy but..) hotel chain. They wash the bed spreads everytime the room is checked out.

Or were you being sarcastic?

No, I wasn't, there wasn't a need to be, lol; I was doing just fine until I got to "...unless it was a long time client who requested a wash". Since they wash the spreads, why would the longtime client request a wash?

Some people LIVE in hotels...

Here, the affordable housing problem is so bad-- some hotels are actually renting the rooms out.

The staff also bathes the guests?!

Hubby and I don't use hotels/motels anymore. We camp because it is actually much more comfortable this way.

Economy wise, camping is the way to go.

I don't even own a bow tie, much less a tuxedo!

Ritzy places??? I go in a Tshirt and a pant with holes.

For real.

It's annoying getting attention with the servers when I need a drink or two... Until they see the wad of cash I carry then I get taken care of really good.
