Did you know...

Yes I am aware of this! :ty:

Bananas are good for you.

Bananas have potassium. Potassium helps with muscle growth and has various other pros as well.

Did you know that if you ever get a mosquito bite, that if you should rub the peel of a banana on it it helps soothe the itching sensation?

I would prefer calamine lotion or hydrocortizone cream. There is a hole in your skin from the mosquito and it seems unsanitary to rub a banana peel over it.

But I did not know this banana trivia.

I knew about the carrots and the tomatoes and all that but good reminder!

<possibility of grapes and raisins toxic to dogs though; evidence/direct correlation not conclusive but many vets will say so>

veggies like cucumbers, lettuce mostly water; cucumber is naturally a cooling food due to high water content and vit. c. Dark leafy greens/mixed greens have more nutrition properties than iceberg lettuce.

Cranberry works because the compounds in the cranberry prevent the bacteria from sticking to the bladder walls. If you can manage it, taking cranberry pills is more effective than using the juice because of the sugar in the juice and the sheer amount of juice you'd have to drink to equal the pills. I take cranberry pills daily as I have a history of frequent <like more than 3 x yr.> UTI's. My female Rottie takes the supplement also-

I only know about the cranberry juice because my doctors made me drink it when I was in the hospital for a UTI. I was put on an IV, but had to drink cranberry juice in order to clean out my system. I didn't really care for it, but it wasn't as bad as drinking other things I don't like.
