Did Someone Ever Insult You That Made You Laugh?

You know -

I was thinking about some stuff that has happened to me over the years...
and I remembered one insult that I have heard applied to me many times over time...

I have been called a HOMEWRECKER so many times... and that has made me LAUGH OUT LOUD whenever that happened!!!

Some have called it right in my face, and I laughed it right back.

Some have written it in letters and emails, and I laughed it right back.

I know that they used it against me, because they thought I was actually a homewrecker, but in all of the cases, it was not true. They were not willing to admit that their relationship was actually over - and I mean OVER. If they wanna call me a homewrecker, that's fine. I need a good laugh now and then. I might even have it tattooed on my arm!!!

Has there been an insult applied to you that made you laugh out loud?
 
if I am insulted, i would work out with that person in a nice manner, otherwise I would ignore that person.

I understand and I know what you mean... however its that one insult that makes me laugh...I dont know why, it just does.
 
i was young abt 8 grade, at school, they called me cow cuz of my skins.. it hurted me... cuz of i was new girl at school.. now i usually and ingore them.. i dont hurt anymore... just nodding!


opps.. i forget explain here... after that, they still insult me and i still laugh and nodding..
 
I know sometimes those who insult me I turn in to pray for them.

Because they don't know how to be shown their way of manner and proper attitude too. I am pray for them and God will take care of my problem about them. That's all I could do for them. As far as They decided to say sorry for being insult and I'll be shocked and be forgiven them. So God will be set them free!!!!!
 
Of course some people insulted me in the past!! Some of them always say "You have a big butt" it did hurt me in the first place until I realized that some guys like big butt :giggle: so after that happened, I usually laugh if they insult me again because I can tell them..."So what, some guys like my big butt"

It did make me feel good to say that to them because they gulped and don't know what to say hehe!
 
during my middle school years, I got called "retarded", "cripple", and "haha you can't do anything ". i ignored those jerks and moved on my life.

i have gotten remarks like hey what does aj stand for? Ass Jerker? A Jax Apple Jacks
my last name is Dawson
so i get remarks like hey dawson how's ur creek? (Dawson's Creek)

i do try to ignore it but if it really pisses me off i usually just punch them in the face.
 
always have and always will laugh at their faces when they say something stupid but ofc i would get pissed if they insult out of personality or personal reason, and yet it will never hurt my feelings anymore... their word of insult is much worthless as it will makes a fool out of themselves no matter how or will they noticed it. :smoking:
 
I can remember one time, we had just gotten a new supervisor at my job ( a real BIG ASS JERK) he was standing behind me.. yak,yak, yak,blah, blah... I was working away, with my back to him. The people working around me KNEW that I couldn't hear him, and stood there looking real awkward, not sure what to do, as he got more and more frustrated when I didn't respond.
I finally turned around and realized he was talking to me.. he bellowed at me.. are you GOD DAMN DEAF or something???? The entire work place looked mortified.. those big BUG EYES of shock.. i burst out laughing.. hysterically..showed him my hearing aids and said.. YUP!
What an ass.. so much for his big show he tried to put on..he looked so smug as he bellowed at me..how quickly the tables turned and after I started laughing, the entire production crew started to laugh to.. at HIM!
 
I do understand some of your point of view. Actually, sometime people try to insult me, something that I think its so funny, and it surely piss them off, and stop insult me afterward. Also I do get some experience of insults, and it did hurted me, but i didn't let them know, just hold myself. Which isn't good, at least i don't want any more problems
 
Hmm, if I received the SAME INSULT over and over and over again, I would start wondering if it was an insult or the truth.

I feel insulted when a hearie responds to me with, "I cannot understand you". I recently have learned to respond with, "I cannot understand YOU either".

So we BOTH have a problem, it is not just MY problem.

And then there is, "Oh, never mind!" when someone finds that you are deaf. I have told people in the past that they were being rude, and one lady even agreed with me!

Laugh? Hardly. I like to think I am learning something new and that is nothing to laugh at.

It depends what everyone insults me.
 
I was skinny with great figure.. good bod, nice hair-do you name it.. they, my hometown or those who knew me, would say you should go modeling, you should try out for Miss Deaf Alabama, etc.. I never did any of those cuz that wasn't who I am. Until then, I had a baby at 22, I've gain quite a bit.. not too fat.. just chubby.. I'll say this, I was 120 lbs then.. now I'm at 190.. Everytime I go to deaf events, All I ever hear is "DAMN, you've gained!!!, Damn, you're fat, What happened to you??" All I had to say is I'm a mother now and things have changed.. It does put me down but I know in my heart.. that I still have that same personality as I always have. So I decided to tell them.. that If they don't like how I look and doesn't want to be my friend then screw them.. that isn't a friend at all..

There are very few, not going to name them.. still give me hints that I need to lose weight, go to the gym, how I have a pretty face but not from shoulders to down.. But Heck, I'll ask them this question.. How come I have a very handsome man in my life that just accepted who I am but your life is fucked???? I'm happy with the way my life is.. but there are days when I feel like shit about my weight.. but I can't complain..

So, when people say those things, I got used to it and I laugh about it!
 
I did that one time, but it degraded me.
It only makes people think that is true about you if you laugh...
they think they are so cool if you laugh.

But it is better to stand up for yourself... be strong....
let them know that that makes you angry.

Just like when the secretary hung up on me many times...
I was upset, and I went to that secretary and confront her...
And I looked at that secretary.... she was pretty but got a fat belly, and I noticed she has a low self esteem herself. I just left her alone.

So if anybody insult you, look at them, confront them, and make
them feel terrible by looking at them.
It works for me.
 
Growing up, I was always the ugly one, the fat one, the goody goody 2 shoes, etc. It reduced me to tears MANY times but now when someone insults me I just ignore it and the funny thing is some deaf people just keep on and on and on and I just stand there nodding til someone tells em to back off.

However, I broke up with a hearing guy in high school and hung up on him without letting him say anything.The next morning he came in homeroom bellowing and ranting and calling me a bitch etc and I just sat there laughing my head off because while he was cussing and throwing desks the teacher was standing right behind him. God's great :) I learned not to let anything get to me because in the end, God'll take care of them while I go along my way.
 
Once one night, I and my best friend went to a bar to hang out and shootin' some pool games. A lot of guys were hitting on us and wanted to play game against us in pool. Of Course, they were trying to get us to go out with them and have one night (thinking its easy to get deafies to get laid) so, they made a bet with us if they win, and we lose.. we have to go out with them, if we win and they lose, we dont have to. So then we all went along and play some pool.


The Game's over... They won the game and told us that we have to, Guess what ? I got this guy really pissed off and stormed out of Bar.. :laugh2: Because I told him, We didn't shake the hands come to agreement of bet.

TB, they still insult you meanwhile you still laugh and nodding but still pain and hurt inside you, am i right??

when i was in 8 grade i was hurted yes but now i am more adult and i dont hurt anymore.. they are immature... :D
