If you did so, what did you think about the last laps of the race? God I near damn had a heart attack watching the final 10 laps with a total of 2 wrecks in the race.

And wheeee what a close finish between Harvick and Martin by 2/100th of a second (or 1/2 a hood length). Plus I was amazed by Bowyer's wild ride to the start/finish line on his roof.

All of this would make Dale Earnhardt Sr smile all way up at the Pearly Gates considering it is his old team winning this year's 500. Also today was the 6th anniversary of his death. (Feb. 18, 2K1)

I will never forget this race as long as I live.

OHH yeah! I was sitting there biting my fingernails at the last 40 laps.. I was soo disappointed that JR was out :( I was rooting for Martin to win the race, I've always admired him. He's not my favorite but a fan of mine though. Then to the end, Kevin Harvick caught up and my jaw dropped! I was jumping up and down screaming! Kevin is one of my favorite driver as well. Kevin and JR! So damn glad he won and am very proud for martin to come this far! :applause: to both of them!
harvick was .02 ahead of martin at the finish line. Love that kind of races!

Oh yea...watched the whole thing and it was indeed quite a race...most noteably with so many veterans' cars ending up in a wreck, damaging their cars so much which put them out of the race for good. First getting Stewart who happened to be leading at the time, then Jimmy Johnson, and then my fav, Earnhardt who looked like he had a great chance to finish at least in the top 10.

When it came down to two drivers gunning for the finish line--ofc, I sure was surprised how Harvick came out of nowhere to battle it out with Mark Martin, I do like these two drivers as they're part of a few drivers whom I like and would root for. However, I do have mixed feelings with the outcome of the race, I was actually rooting for Mark Martin to win it, after-all, this was his 23rd appearance in the Daytona 500 and not ever winning it, also, having a strong feeling that this just might be his last year racing in the Nextel Cup Series...I was rather disappointed that the yellow caution didn't come up on the last lap which would have frozen the field and giving Mark Martin the win instead. I have a hunch that a whole lot of Nascar fans are mifted for the fact that no yellow caution came up when the last mishap/crash happened.

Oh well, I'm happy for Kevin Harvick, he's the guy that took over the number '3' car after Dale Earnhardt was killed in a race 6 yrs. ago...changing the number to '29'. My hat's off to Kevin Harvick and Mark Martin, among all the other drivers for a very interesting, yet, exciting race!! This is going to be another interesting year of racing-- ;)

Oh yeah, quite amazing how one of the drivers (07) ended up crossing the finish line upside-down in his car...one would think this is stuff made from movies like 'Herbie'.... But, I'm glad Bowyer's ok and wasn't injured after his car flipped.

The first race is always a very special one, once they start their engines and also start racing, the hairs on my skin stands up-- It's just an awesome feeling!! WoOt!! :D

Can't wait 'til the next one.........

Oh yeah saw that on tv but not whole :) .. My uncle watched it today then later change the channel to the movie with his wife :) .. I saw red car was smash into the wall and one of car flip over and slide from the car of roof. :) That is all I see it :)

I was took nap cuz I am working right now, and plan wake up like 5 pm, but I overslept and woke up around 630 pm then watched WWE No Way Out PPV same time NBA All Star game...

I watched it too, it was a real wild race there! Love those exciting crashes, at least no one got killed. They sure had a real close finish, too! I watched it in HD, too. ;)

I saw that! I was so disappointed that Kevin Harvick beat Mark Martin.. Mark Martin did a good job leading, and I was hoping he would win the last lap, Wow!! Harvick got his trick moves back..

I was so upset to see Dale Jr being involved in the wreck.. Damn!! :pissed:

There are always another race, and anyone can win...

True, there are more races where a driver will have his moment to 'shine' in the winner's circle. :)
