Deodorant Usage?

1.) How many times a day do you use deodorant?
1 to 2x a day

2.) How many swipes (rub on or roll on) do you do each time you use your deodorant? (If you rub your armpits up, down, up, down, up... that would be 5 swipes.)
about 3-5 swipes

3.) How long does your deodorant usually last?
About a month, not sure I don't really pay attention..runs out I have back up

4.) What deodorant do you use?
Dove, and that is only works for me

5.) What kind of deodorant is it? (gel, white, clear-like, etc)
either the white one (more expensive) or white one

6.) How long have you used this deodorant?
For Dove, for probably about 8 years (not sure when they came out)

7.) Do you change deodorants often?
I did once, and found out that I cannot use...it itch! Degree does not agree on me. I was curious if it will work or not.

I must have it otherwise I feel icky! I have small travel one in case if i forget. :) Especially in summer time, must few times a day if I am outside

Once roll up on each armpit.

One resident in my school dorm often rolled the deodorant with ball type right before his bedtime and he ensured the he rolled it five times by counting it.

Sure it irritated his roommates with very strong odor when they tried to sleep. At one time, one of his roommates and he ended up in a HUGE fight over it. Most of my fellow residents and his roommates cheered for the roommate in the fight that he won easily because we already complained to our dorm counselors over his excessive usage of deodorant and wrong timing.

The Vice-Principal of dormitory ordered him not to do it again and do it every morning.

gel...must be gel... will not use spray b/c it gets sticky...

nah, i aint high maintenance. :lol:
Most of time I dont use deodorant after I shower b/c my armpits are clean(saves me money). :lol: I do use it first thing in morning before I leave only if I have to go somewhere. like go to work,sportin' event,strip clubs,etc...

I don't know if you are aware of this, but anti-perspirant deodorants aren't supposed to be applied to your armpits on a daily basis. The reason for this is due to the fact that sweating is a way of releasing the toxins from your body. If you apply the anti-perspirant deodorant to it everyday, it prevents your body from releasing the toxins, what happens instead is that the toxins will accumulate within the body. Aluminum is also a real concern since it has been linked to cancer and several diseases including Alzheimer's.

Every deodorant has aluminum, unless you buy one that specifically lists that it has no aluminum in its ingredients.

I dont use deodorant, I use anti-perspirant. deodorant masks the smell but doesn't stop the perspiration.

The one I'm using, Tom's of Maine, it doesn't have any. I used to use Old Spice deodorant products and it doesn't mention the word at all in the ingredients. I don't know if they do, but if they did, they are supposed to list it anyway. I don't use anti-perspirant deodorant because they close up the pores and cause your glands to swell.
 
I was surprised just as you when I was told actually all deodorants, until stated otherwise, contain either aluminum chlorohydrate
or aluminum zirconium.
I too, was under an impression that it's just antiperspirant which contains aluminum,
turns out they just have more of it.

Crystal rock deo for sure don't have it,

Tom Of Maine, if it STATES its aluminum free, then by law they are obligated to
have it free of aluminum indeed.

But if it does not says so, I would be wary.

Colour me surprised too as well. I had wondered about that several times in the past, but I wouldn't be surprised if that is in fact, the case with most products. I've always gotten a rash from pretty much any deodorants I've tried in the past. Old Spice was the only one I could use, but I still had to be careful to not use too much at once. Tom's of Maine is aluminium-free according to the label.

really? now i don't know if my deodorant is safe to use :/ will have to check the ingredients again
 
However, we are sweating everywhere on our bodies,
it's not like we sweat only under arms...

just think of hot summer day and those beads of sweat forming practically everywhere. 'member that drippy forehead, a tiny stream in the back? :)

4.) What deodorant do you use? Currently it is Dove. It smells nice but does not work well.

6.) How long have you used this deodorant? 1 & 1/2 containers only. Too cheap to toss it out.
7.) Do you change deodorants often? Yes, always looking for the one that will work. My job is lots of work ... eww.
 
I use Donna Karan Cashmere Mist.
It's the only thing I splurge on, otherwise I am cheap, lolol

Has anyone with excessive sweating problem tried Botox for it?

I don't have this problem, but my friend has
did it once, said it is painful but worth it, last up to 4-6 months..
The downside - it's expensive.
