When I received BB Curve 8330 from Sprintrelay store. I had extra icons such as Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Music Store, Pocket Express, Facebook, Yahoo! Messager, Google Talk.

I don't need some of the programs. Those programs are "Browser Configured" which means it's not a program itself but links to browser and it'll show Term & Agreements before downloading software you want to use.

I tried to find Icon name listed that on "desktop" had in Options--Advanced Options--Applications. It's not listed in there.

I tried installing Sprint TV but not using it and it showed up in "Applications" list. So I deleted SprintTV listed in there. Can you guess!!

After deleting it... It resurrected itself as a "Browser Configured" icon!! It sure does DRIVE ME CRAAZZY!! :eek3::-o:dizzy: This is what I called "Stubborn Icon", I thought it was UN-DELETEABLE!!!

I contacted Sprint Rep through Email and asking him how can I delete those stubborn icons. He have no idea how. He even suggested remove battery then put it back in to reset BB Curve to make those icons disappear. It doesn't work cuz it's stored in internal flash memory tho.

UN-Deletable, Nope!! I found a way to delete most of "Stubborn" icons but there is a RISK involved. Don't blame me for screwing up your BlackBerry and Don't point at me "Catty did it!!" It's your risk and your responsibilty. You want to clean out that "Stubborn" icons.

Be VERY careful with trackball movements and selecting "highlighted" list to delete. Take it sloooow and EEAASSY!! Make sure you selected correct name to delete. You don't want to jinx your BB.

Read it carefully:

First... Make sure that you check Options--Advanced Options--Applications and see if you can find PROGRAM name (such as Sprint TV, Sprint Navigation, ect... That are INSTALLED in BB) that you want to delete. IF YOU DON'T FIND IT... Here's the instruction below:

1. Go to Options--Advanced Options--Service Book. This is where list of service files with checkmarked on left side.

2. Scroll down slowly and find that FAMILIAR name of Icon NAME that you wish to delete.. For example "Sprint TV [BrowserConfig]" or "Sprint Navigation [BrowserConfig]" . This is where you should find to delete.

3. Scroll to that icon NAME you want to delete just to HIGHLIGHT it, DON'T CLICK ON IT!!!

4. Hit Menu button (LEFT of Trackball). You should see pop up window on bottom left corner of BB screen say "View, Delete, Undelete, Close".

5. Scroll to "Delete" and Click "Delete". Confirm delete.

Hit BACK button (RIGHT of Trackball) few time to desktop. BINGOOO!! It's GOONEE from BB's Desktop!!

My advice is to take it one at a time. Don't be creative into deleting Service Book listing or else you'll be sorry with screwed up BB!

That's about it

lol, BB OS is more harder to manage than WM6.

Remember, don't break your new BB if you are mad.

Lol Sprint rep sent me email that BB can be fixed by logging into BlackBerry Internet Service on pc and log in with user name and pswd. Navigate to find "Service Book" and click on it to send "Service book repair" to BB curve. It'll fix the plm On The Air. It takes few seconds to get BB back in track plus you'll see resurrected icons again which is more work to delete again. My wife's BB 8800 had plm and I use it thru my Curve to fix hers under her acct. My Curve fixed her 8800 lol

Yes thankyou.

But it'll resurrect once you use BB Desktop interface on PC with BB plugged into it to install some applicaton such as BB Theme.

I downloaded free BB theme "Black Diamond" and installed it to my BB via BB Desktop Interface. Once BB rebooted after application installed. I see many of resurrected icons there. I had to do over to remove it. Pain in the neck but at least for a long run if you're not using desktop interface just to install apps.
