Warning This is semi graphic. This is a high speed tape of a deer jumping in front of a motorcycle from the perspective of the on board camera. You gotta look both ways before crossing.

Seriously, there isn't really anything you can do about it. They can move quickly before you can react and "BAM" you're hit.

I just recently been in a close encounter in which we almost hit a deer. My brother and I were traveling and he was driving. It was nighttime and all the sudden there were two deer attempting to cross the road. We just missed one of them who managed to cross the road before we could hit him and the other one stayed on the side of the road. Talk about fortunate...WHEW!!!!!!!! A second or less time and it would been a nasty accident.
 
Yeah .... Watch those roads, man because springtime is coming which means alots of animals are gonna be coming out of the woods onto the roads so they are gonna be crossing alots of roads. The same goes for cars & trucks too, not just motorcycles. That one was an eye opener.
 
minnesota is famous in hitting deer all over .. major time it happens between aug and nov.. more risk during those months here in minnesota. can even totaled ur car.
 
that deer was stupid to cross at that time, but i guess they might be spooked by the sound of the motorcycle. good thing that guy was ok
 
Michigan has one of the highest car to deer accidents in the US. I don't know which state has the highest in the US....watching out for deers on the road doesn't always help. They can jump out by surprise and there's no time to react. If you're going at 60 mph and there's no chance you're gonna avoid that deer.
