I wish we could go back to those days when we never even thought about bringing guns to school just to shoot people in the 1970s and 1980s.....man, this world is getting scary. :(

I wish they never made guns in the first place.....

Oh dear, this is really sad...

Try going back to the 1950s when kids used to respect one another.

Oh really?

Then what was all that big fuss over the civil rights marches that a lot of African-Americans used to get involved with?

Also, there were the bullies.

I read about it on AOL and saw it on news what a tragedy :(

Sometimes I get scared for my boys attending school and shooting happening those days it just scares the heck out of me. :dizzy:

RED LAKE, Minn. (AP) - As many as 14 people were injured and some killed in a shooting Monday at a Minnesota high school, authorities said. Tom Lyons, chief deputy for Beltrami County, said up to 14 people were injured in the mid-afternoon shooting at Red Lake High School in far northern Minnesota. Lyons said a suspect was in custody, but he had no other details.

The FBI did not say how many people had been killed and also declined to release details.

Red Lake High School, on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, has about 300 students, according to its Web site.

Audrey Thayer, who lives in Bemidji and works as a researcher for the American Civil Liberties Union's Minnesota chapter, said the reservation was locked down by police with roadblocks.

"They have got it closed off," she said.

The reservation is about 240 miles north of the Twin Cities. It is home to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians.

You know this kid who did the shooting Jeff Weise was described as a loner who wore black and was often teased by others. I wish kids would stop the teasing and bully because sometimes it ticks the victims off and becomes angry and might do harmful to others like what Jeff did. I wish parent would teach their own children to respect every child in school equally and be nice. It's a shame that nowdays Parent are ignoring the facts that their child might be a bully and teasing loner students. Nobody likes to be picked on, expectly children because they develope alot of emotions with angry and hurting. I am not saying he did the right thing, But I am saying is Parent should be a very part of the child's life and teach them to respect others and themselves and the most important thing be there for your child. Doesn't mean that since they aren't babies anymore, You don't let them go and do whatever they want. They have to know what's right and what's wrong.

I'm agreeing with you. That 17 years-old black person learned how to use a weapon from the Grand Thief Auto 3. He killed some people and he got arrested. His judgement found his guility to make 3 or 4 years a sentence in jail. Therefore, he learned it from the Rockstar Games. That was a violence game.

Very sad. Unfortunately for the killer, he had no parental supports at all since his dad committed suicide few years ago and his mother suffering something bad that she was not goign to ever be normal again. As for this case, I strongly believe the internet has really take place for what has caused this tragic rampage. I accused the website, Neo Nazism and stuffs where he was a member (poster) there, telling what he was up to and how he really felt. One thing he has said on the internet that he was not too happy to see interracial stuffs going on since Red Lake is an indian reservation and he thought one race must be with a same race. It is pretty silly, anyways. My point is, yes violent video games, offensive internet websites, without the discipline of the parents are really taking amount of what have happened on Monday.

Yes, His mom had a car accident and is in the nursing home, he lives with grandparent and I guess he didn't have a real parent to guide him in the right path. I felt bad for him but the same time I felt bad for those kids who got killed too. I just wish people would wake up and if they see something that doesn't fit, step forward and get that person some help before it's too late. But they didn't.
