Deaf School hauntings

I wanted to create new thread related to deaf school hauntings. If you experince seeing or feel ghosts at deaf schools, please feel free to share it here.....
 
Flyfree, dont you mind to share your story??

I've had encounter with ghosts couple of times when I was student at MN State Academy for the Deaf. Also heard some from kids too...
 
I know Liza's seen one... ;)

None for me, although I've had strange things happen that I can't explain. :)
 
yes ive posted abt that on Shadowlands site for the MarylandSD hauntings -- let me find it and i will post that in here :)
 
I've heard of stories years ago of what happened in the dorms of Ellingson (Tower A) here at RIT. One was this guy who fell out of the window. Rumor has it that on the anniversary night of his death, you can see his ghostly body falling and disappearing as it hits the ground. Another is a girl who hung herself years ago. On the anniversary night of her death, you can see her ghost walking along the hallways and entering the room she killed herself in. After that, she disappears.

weird... tsk tsk....
 
Frederick - Fredrick Campus - Barry Hall - In the nights there are ghosts seen in the girls' dorm - Barry Hall -on the 2nd floor and 1 is reputed to be evil and was called Mary Walker and it turned out she did exist back in the 1800s as she is interred at the nearby cemetery that is up the road from the school and if the girls was in a room by herself or with another girl and they go around and around and signing "Mary Walker" 50 or 100 times, it is said that her face would appear in the mirror as you looked into the mirror and would see a face so evil and hair of snakes moving and you would get scared more by the shade being opened by itself

Frederick - Fredrick Campus - Maryland School for the Deaf - the school was founded in 1868. There is an old barracks that was once used during the Revolutionary War to house captured Hessian soldiers and it still is there on campus -- its an old stone built building and has been converted into a museum of sorts and is not opened to the public regularly -- anyway -- story has it that you would see the spirits of those wounded in combat in the barracks moaning and the hospital equipment from that era is still in the bldg as is the furniture and such.

those were the 2 stories i posted on Shadowlands a couple years ago -- i cant remmy if i saw a post abt MSSD -- i will check :D

yea Vampy -- ive heard of that story too when i was at RIT living in Tower A
 
Kendall School and MSSD

Kendall Green - Gallaudet - Kendall Demonstration Elementary School - In the girls bathroom, there was a ghost around and watching the girls. The ghost is around the bathroom because four girls who were saying bloody Mary for millions time and several days. Somehow, a ghost was mad at 4 girls. The ghost looked like more than 100 years old. The ghost was looked for 4 girls. The four girls decided to withdrawn that school to saved themselves. If you wanted to enter this bathroom, you will see the awful image of the ghost.

Kendall Green - MSSD - MSSD is located in the back part of the campus of Gallaudet University on a hill facing Rhode Island Ave -- MSSD was founded in 1969 and Gallaudet was founded in 1857. The students at MSSD would feel hoof beats going through the campus possibly was the route taken during the Revolution War going towards Pennsylvania. Also, a ghost of a girl who had apparently committed suicide was seen in 1 of the girls' dorms and seeing apparitions of another girl who apparently would wander in the girls' dorm and has been seen sitting in a corner somewhere in the dorm.

i dont know if either story has ever been validated by anyone who either went to Kendall School or MSSD -- i was a commuter student when i was at MSSD -- the one abt MSSD was told to me by someone and i posted that one story based on what i recall the story from this other student on Shadowlands
