Deaf Man Shot Multiple Times By Robber

That's terrible and unfortunate. I hope the law enforcement are able to catch those 2 criminals.

But, I have a question in regards of that article - it states that the victim is hearing impaired and was not able to understand the commands that these 2 robbers were giving to him in order to shoot the victim;

How exactly does the police know what went on prior to the shooting because they haven't caught those 2 men? Isn't that based on an assumption just because the victim is hearing-impaired? I have to wonder. :dunno:

the witnesses they spoke to
According to witnesses, the first man is 5 feet 6 inches tall, is heavy-set and was wearing a red sweatshirt and dark, baggy jeans. The second man was described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark, baggy jeans

Ah, Thanks for pointing that out for me. Apparently I overlooked that part, sorry, lol.

Yes, That is more of a better chance to catch these perps with a solid statement from those witnesses.

I, too, hope the police will be able to get those hoodlums.

Police: Deaf victim 'executed in cold blood' at local park

Police: Deaf victim 'executed in cold blood' at local park

"Executed in cold blood" is the way police are describing the murder of a disabled man, unable to hear his attackers, over the weekend in a small neighborhood park.

News 3's Steve Crupi reports that now, the search is on for a pair of attackers, who police hear may be robbing and killing at random.

AnSan Park near Alta and Buffalo in the northwest part of town is normally a very quiet park. And according to police, it is where a 38-year-old deaf man came for his workout every night.

But that routine came to a shocking end this past weekend.

"The suspects shot our victim four times, in the front and also in the back," says Metro Homicide Lt. Lew Roberts. "You know, this guy was basically executed in cold blood in a public park, and it's unacceptable."

Normally, it's a peaceful park where people feel totally safe walking their dog, riding bikes, or watching the birds.

"It's a great place to walk the dog, meet other dog owners and whatnot," says parkgoer Todd Finkelson.

But now, this neighborhood recreation area is the focal point of a major murder investigation after the victim, identified as 38-year-old Kevin Franchow, was shot four times.

Police say multiple people at the park got a look at the suspects and a sketch artist is currently working on drawings.

Lt. Roberts is usually very reserved with regard to his comments about a case, but not this time; he's calling it heinous and brutal, and he's worried that the attackers - described as a pair of black male juveniles - could strike again.

In fact, police believe they may have already done so at the same murder scene less than 24 hours later. A second victim was also attacked in AnSan Park just after Midnight Sunday morning.

Police say the same suspects knocked a woman to the ground, held a gun to her head, and stole her cell phone.

They need to be found and found FAST!

I hope they get the death penalty!

:mad2:x5 It really saddens me when they kill a inoccent guy. I hope they find those guys and throw them to a river full of pihrihas (sp), they will love to eat his posion heart.

I believe those two men were getting irritated and thought the "deaf" man was ignoring them to get shot this many times. I hope the police will catch those two men before they go after the next victim.
