Yeah, I know hee hee, why not to start a new Dating-service in AD as it is getting popular, as I could not help noticing it happen here around 4 times per month!!
 
Oh Good Lord :nono: no no no, I do not want to see a ' Dating Service ' add in here...I would be the first to leave AD....

I have noticed that a few new members had done this for the fourth time, thinking AD is a dating service or finding sex here too...I'm not interesting seeing something like this at all in AD.... :squint:
 
Maybe we can provide them links to the deaf dating services? It's better than anything else. Why do I see so many deaf desperates? Date hearing people if you can't find deafies. Don't limit your choices.

Angel, Can you explain why you are not interested in seeing anything of this kind in AD? This is a meeting place where everyone from all walks of life come and share lives together. Many are single as much as there are married people too.

I don't see anything wrong with her request for finding a guy. These dating sites for the deaf (like deafsinglesconnection, deafpeoplemeet or deafmatchinternational, etc) aren't that great - these sites are bombarded by hearing people from other countries asking for money.

Just wondering why you felt this way?

I need to defend these single people *grin* as Im one of them. Just because someone asks for a chat partner here doesnt mean she/he is desperate. Most deaf people prefer to date only deaf anyway and it is hard to find them so Internet is a great place to look around.

I believe that AD is a great place to meet people, even better if you happen to find that special one. This is where we post our opinions, values, life stories or interests. It is a good way to see if that person is compatiable.

Love CAN happen ANYWHERE :)

I sure will explain why....

IF there's a dating service being add in this forum, then more and MORE new members will only join to seek a date from someone, then more perverts will join to seek members for sex...the list goes on and on.....

For several months since I've been a member here, I had pms from new members who asking me out on a date also had a pm a couple of weeks ago from a new member who hasn't posted anything in here asked me for sex....Of Course I was shocked and speechless and send a complain to the owner along with that pm that was send to me...I didn't come to this forum for that...And beside, they have sites and chats that you can go to when looking for a date or sex....I have my reason why I don't want this dating service being add in Alldeaf....It's not a place for it and the more pms other members will get the more fed up they become...

I would like to see AD a clean site rather than seeing new members filling up this forum by seeking a date or sex from others....

I'm sorry but this is how I feel....:(

Oh no need to apologize for how you feel, Angel :) I was just wondering thats all ...didn't realize that they send PMs requesting for sex. I do see your point :)
 
also another thing i gotta point out -- AD does have a section devoted for "Marriage, Dating and Single Life" -- so wouldnt that technically be categorized as a "dating service" type of section qq

I'm sorry to say that I feel Angel is right here. AD isn't a dating forum. Alex has worked hard to make it a simple meeting place for everyone involved. If two members were so inclined to start a romance, then that's another story. Those two members can do whatever it is they wish, through IM's, PM's, e-mail, love letters, snail mail, what-EVER. ;)

Might I propose a "singles" category, or somewhat of a subcategory reserved especially for people looking for a date or errr...I don't wanna say SEX...how about "companionship?" That works. This way those who don't wish to be subjected to singles ads can skip over those and those who are interested do have a place to go to find what they're looking for.

Another thing I've noticed is - those who are posting "ads" aren't sticking around the site long enough to be noticed or responded to. They post, leave an email address or so, and take off. That's not a good sign if you're lookin' for something long term, is it, now? ;)

Love does, and can, happen anywhere. I know that. It's how I met my husband.

BUT - it's even better when it sneaks up on you. You know it's real and not based on "expectations" that some folks like to sneak into those ads.

That's my opinion anyway.

whoa i thought it would be nice to have dating service for deaf only like angel met her role why not huh,becuz deaf are hard to reach becuz they are spread out all over usa and uk why not put them together etc, i have found that russain women are in trouble the guys over there drinks and get drunk every night there they wanted to come over to get marry sooo :cheers: in fact they are very intellectual etc :kiss:
 
I see your point there, so why not create a poll and see what others think about this and what the owner thinks too.... :dunno:
