AD forum went offline again at around 5 pm today, is it other DDoS again?

might be after effects from the attack... I am sure they need to go through code and server information to remove anything malicious.

It only affect the server that where AD forum is hosted.

It's a hacker targeting a network system such as AD, overwhelming the server that makes the site render inaccessible for a short or long period of time.

^^ Ditto what Calvin posted... Denial of service is aimed at the server side; the client side (your computer) is not affected. I've seen quite a few DDoS attacks on other forums including one with an SQL injection attack- that one was fun...not. I long for the days of kiddie attacks lol- a bunch of silly kids trying to overload the forum/server by posting dozens and dozens of porn pictures. Sadly they failed. Fastest bannings ever lol.

I seen that but I also seen that it affects other computers when activated by the "owner of the DDOS" it activates all the corrupted computers at once to overwhelm the server being targeted? Did I miss something? Thats why I asked if it affected any of our computers.

that would be a different kind of attack. it will only affect you if you download a program.
