Michelle Obama is rearing two girls and I imagine that it was a big deal for her to have to leave them for a trip abroad. I hate to be away from my boys even overnight.
It's my understanding that Michelle is a very hands on mom and is trying to keep the girls' childhood as stable and as normal as possible. I'm sure that's no easy task.
