I feel you, Shel. I think I need to clarify my statement I made earlier in the thread. In no way do I believe this man deserved anything other than what he got. He absolutely deserved his punishment. However, I don't believe executing him will do anything other than prevent this man from killing again.

My feelings on the death penalty are simple. The system is broken and I don't think it's useful to apply this punishment until we fix our system.

But, did John Mohammad deserve to die for what he did? Absolutely.
