It said in the Bible... Deuteronomy 22:5.

A woman is not to wear male clothing, and a man is not to put on a woman's garment, for everyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord your God.

Yeah, it shows their cultural ignorance. BIG TIME!

I am woman, loves to wear a black trouser/pants, and wearing Levi denim jeans, and boxer shorts too.

Today lots of clothes are unisex - same t-shirts, jackets, you named it.

In 19th Century its big no, no, times have changed alot.

Well, there are men section and women sections. But as of crossdresser is too extreme. There are women jeans and men jeans and sometime wife borrow husband jeans, no problem. But like panties and hose, no way. Well, if like for performing so called drag queen, I think its cool as for drama wise, but dress as everyday life, it is not apprpropriate and that happen, at the deaf club, that deaf guy who is crossdresser can't allow in the deaf club when kids are in presence and try to go to women bathroom. But would God forgives, yes, He will

I would say that I do agree with Tamara...

I love to wearing boys' clothes becuase it's comfortable... But I don't know about men to wearing women's clothes... Becuase there's few men do wear very short-shorts, tight shirt which they are even straight... :dunno:

Thank you for this enlightening thread. If you don't like something, feel free not to do it. They aren't hurting you.

That's discrimination.

Sad.

I don't like to call them crossdressers, I prefer to call them transgender. I have several transgendered friends.

Well, either way crossdresser or transgender. Well, it is not good influence on children by doing that. I wouldn't call it discrimination in that issue. But I do have some friends who are transgenger or crossdresser. But as a good judgement, have to understand not to pervert the child mind and lead the confusions. I know as a society perspective, but the way I see, if its a man, should act like a man and clothe like a man. To me, as sex change, does offend what God create him to be. Its like like the next door grass better, when self never satisfy what self have. Thinking there grass is more greener than mine, which really my grass is as pretty, but didn't think its green enuf. When God made me a man, I thank Him for creating me as a man and content who I am and I have. That's the way I see it.

clothes are clothes, I don't see how acting like a female or male will change the person you are.

Maybe, you interpret different from others. Maybe, it is not about the " cross dressers " in the scripture. Maybe, I interpret different from others, too. :dunno: It would be nice to see others' opinions/point of views on this issue and, see what they interpret it means.

I believe God would like to see a " woman " to wear a " woman " clothes and for a " man " to wear a " man " clothes. It's a proper way to show the opposite sex - IMO.

There are worse habits that I'd rather children not see than wearing a skirt. You know. Like smoking. Drinking. Drugs. Watching too much tv. Not exercising enough. Being lazy. Eating junk/fast food. You know..things that are actually harmful.

So, you believe that women must wear dresses only and men wear pants only?

That's very lame.

I hate dresses.

I didn't misinterpreted, I typed the exact quote from NIV Bible.

It is ashamed that some people focus so much and obsess on looks and sex and weight and clothes and value and material things...

and I don't want children to be around that... they should have fun
with life, play ball and watch funny cartoon movies and
go picnic and horseback riding and enjoy life and relax and get education such as math and all.

 Well, that's just my opinion of what God sees fit. I don't wear dresses, either. When I was young, I used to wear them all the time. Now, I am wearin' pants - more comfortable for me. I can't even remember what I look like in a dress.... been a long time not to wear a dress.

Yeah, true. What is the most important to God is your heart. God looks at the people's heart. That's what it counts, not on the outside what people wear. :)
