Crazy Week with Getting Hearing Aids

After all the waiting we have gone through.
Trying to get both girls approved for funding for
their hearing aids we JUST FOUND OUT they are covered.
Becasue they are peds, there is a program they fall under.
3 years at no cost for repair and 1 time replacments.
The little one has been waiting almost 3 months now for her
aids. FINALLY next week she will get her new molds and her hearing
aids. Whew! The middlest is waiting, she did get fitted for her mold and
now we have to wait for them to come back from being made/replaced.

After all of that.
 
Robarts Family Day

I met some wonderful people at the Home Visit Family Day
in Windsor. It was so nice to be able to meet some of the
families that have kids with hearing loss.

Some of them were even in the littlest's one's class.
There is just a hand full that go. But to see them sign, and
being able to sign to them (I was totally beaming!) It's
so incredible how close/tight their bond is. My middlest she
is hofh also, she was signing with them as well. They connected
together, and started to cry when it was time to leave.

Thankfully I got phone numbers :D we will be in touch!
 
What color hearing aids are they getting? I am SO green with envy about the little kids who get colored hearing aids!
 
Littlest is getting purple.
Middlest she is getting pink.

..I know..they never had that when I was a kid! (pout)
 
Purple......my favorite color!!!!!! I really want purple aids for my next set!
 
LOL ....go for it girl!

I want rainbow LOL so it matches EVERYTHING I have or maybe black.
 
Yeah! Hope they leave them in. Little G is still a pill about it. G has had blue, red/white swirl, and now bright orange. Since he takes them out and hides them we wanted the brightest thing we could get.
 
:rofl: That's funny. So you can find it and get your little G pissed at ya for finding it. LOL poor you.

haha..funny.
Yep the lil one is like that too.
She has been without them for a while but
more often then not it's hide-and-seek hearing aids.
