Costco Policy

Some of the food at Sam's club is crap! I brought some frozen food and is was freezer burn and had to throw it away. I when to Walmart to buy some dog food and the bags had food moths all over them. I will not buy food from clubs or Walmart.

Yup, I heard your concern.

I prefer Costco to Sam's Club.

I doubt they are as concerned with overcharge as they are with stealing. However, it does help consumer as well as the store.

I shop at BJ's which is the same a Costco(we have both here), it's not too big an inconvenience to show your receipt. I have more issue with people asking for email, address or zip code, nobody needs my personal information.

You really have to check the prices at these wholesale stores. I've found my supermarket has better prices in most instances. It should actually be illegal to state that you are a wholesaler and then sell products at retail prices.

Here's what I recommend:
Bottled Water: Good discount here.
Facial Tissue: Mild discount, but the best you may find
Shaving Razors: The pack bundle is a better deal
Books: This is borderline, because you can go to a used book store.
Propane: Best deal you can get(and, make sure they weigh the can)

Other than these, look hard at price consistency as it is all over the map.

I can't speak for BJ's but Costco is like 5 minutes from my house and Walmart is 2 minutes from Costco, so I usually hit both once a week. Milk and bread, way cheaper than Walmart, get my coffee and toilet paper there (not paper towls they're too bulky got no room for them in my apartment). Get a 10 pound bag of frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts for less than $22, I'll also buy once a month or month, or every other month (depends how long it lasts) one of the big pork loins, and then I slice it up into chops myself. Not sure how many pounds that is usually costs between $14 and $18 and I get at least 6 or 7 dinners out of it for me and my 2 kids. They got that all over Walmart, hamburger is cheaper at walmart, and I like never do steak anymore. I'm too poor now that I left my husband lol. But when were together I'd get a rib eye roast for less than $50 and slice that up into steaks. Laundry detergent and cleaners are usually a better deal too, especially since Costco sends me coupons every month.

I prefer Costco to Sam's Club.

I have no needs to buy 300 rolls of toilet paper or 10 lbs of meat at one time . I hated shopping at Sam's club as was too big and there was no one around to
to help you find anything. I guess if you have a huge famliy or have a lot of parties Sam's club is OK to use.
