Cops Stop Car Bomb From Exploding in Times Square

Maybe because the rest of the place was mostly empty?
Maybe the FBI was trying to see what the guy was really using the apartment for .! He was not cooking home made meals for himself , that show he did not think as the apartment as a his home. It was just a place to eat, sleep and design a bomb! I notice the oven was never used as there was still paper on the rack,, The guy was eating a lot quick meals , there was a lot of bread and potatoes there! The potatoes looked like they could walked out of the room!
Can you made a bomb with potatoes! The hobby room was really freaky! One window was covered with a sheet , I guess the guy did not want anyone seeing him work on his "hobby'! What with all the empty plastic bottles , I wonder if they were used as apart of the bomb making!

I noticed this event caused Hillary to support a republican bill that would strip Americans of their citizenship status.

Citizenship = Miranda Rights, tribunal court

Are the Democrats finally seeing the light? Do they "get it" now?

Only time will tell ......

Oh, as an afterthought, I totally foresee the Democrats taking credit for Bush's ideas when they "invent" them ....

but... it was Lieberman (Democrat) who brought up the issue, is it not?

He backed up McCaine during the election when he realize he was losing.

so? doesn't mean anything. Lieberman is Democrat in his blood. I'm a registered Democrat and McCain was my first choice for the President.

If I recall correctly - Lieberman and McCain share similar tough stance view on Israel and they didn't like Obama's stance on it. Could be that reason why.

Okaaaay .. so Lieberman sees the light but wants to distance the Democrats from pushing a Bush bill .....

Patriot Act II coming to Congress soon ....

if that is in the work, can I join your militia? Why? I think my state and the surrounding states will bend over and let them have it. :giggle:

We are a voluntary organization made up of the citizens of Georgia. Our mission is to help one another to achieve the skills necessary to survive in adverse conditions and to provide assistance as needed in times of emergency, natural disaster, and civil unrest. We are not a political organization. We do not endorse any one person running for government office. We do not have anti-government sentiments or racist ideologies. We will not discriminate based on religion or race or income or national origin or sex or age or education or even sexual preference. Intolerance has no place in the Georgia Militia.

About Us...

There is a lot of misunderstanding by the general public about what is the militia. Some of this is due to misinformation provided by main stream media outlets, but mostly it is due to our lack of communication about who we are.

First, we are not anti-government; we are pro-community. We believe in life, liberty, the protection of property, and the pursuit of happiness. We are your neighbor, your doctor, your waitress, your police officer, and your child's teacher. We are just like you, and we want to make sure that all of the citizens of Georgia are safe and free to live their lives. We share our skills and experiences with each other so that we are able to protect and provide for our own families, and help each other in times of flood or famine.

The 2nd Amendment begins with "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State . . . " During the founding of our country, the population was largely agrarian and self sufficient; so it was the men of the community, the militia, who defended the population from outside threats and provided social order. Today's militia continues in this mandate and well as takes on an additional purpose.

It was understood by our founding fathers that it was the citizens of each community who knew what was best for them and their children. As the power center of government moves farther away from the very people who it is supposed to represent, that government becomes less responsive to the will and needs of the people. It is easy to go to you county government meeting and make your voice heard. It is easy to make your voice heard by your neighbors. But when you voice needs to be heard hundreds of miles away it looses its power and money often speaks louder than words. As it has been said, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." So it is the implied threat of an armed population that keeps worst of the human condition at bay. This is the intent of our 2nd amendment.

An added purpose of the militia is the result of the industrial age; most people are not self sufficient. We do not grow our own food, nor repair our own machines, nor make our own clothes. There have been numerous instances here in the US where the basic social order was disrupted to the point that each citizen was on his or her own. Whether it is a flood, hurricane, snow, ice storm, or even riot the chance is real that each of us may be without power, police protection, or access to commercial stores at some point in our lives. So the members of the Georgia Militia share their individual expertise with each other, practice emergency preparedness, and advocate individual self sufficiency.

Finally, and most importantly, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. We are not some secret organization, we do not engage in, tolerate, nor advocate any illegal activity. We have nothing to hide and if you are a citizen of Georgia, we need your help.

Georgia militia member arrested while trying to free fellow birther
Two men who belong to right wing fringe groups and believe that President Barack Obama isn't a U.S. citizen have managed to get themselves arrested in Tennessee.

The first man, Walter Fitzpatrick, was taken into custody after he tried to perform a citizen's arrest of Grand Jury foreman Gary Pettway at the Madison County Courthouse. While his reasons for attempting to arrest Pettway are not clear, Fitzpatrick had previously tried to get a grand jury to indict Obama for treason.

Fitzpatrick is a member of American Grand Jury. The group's website maintains that Obama was a CIA operative and plans to put him on "trial" May 14-19.

The arrest of Fitzpatrick upset Darren Huff, a Georgia man. Huff made a video calling on fellow Patriots to descend on the courthouse to defend Fitzpatrick. Huff is a member of Oath Keepers, a right wing fringe group that exists to uphold the Constitution if they are asked to violate it.

Huff the planned an April 20 trip from Georgia to Tennessee with a Colt .45 and an AK-47 in an attempt to free Fitzpatrick. WBIR reported:

The FBI interviewed a bank manager who said Huff told him on April 15 that Fitzpatrick had been falsely arrested, that Huff was in the Georgia militia, and that 8 or 9 other militia groups were headed to Madisonville on April 20 to "take over the city." The bank manager said Huff told him he'd see Huff's actions on the noon news.

FBI agents interviewed Huff at his home on April 19, and Huff said he would be traveling to Tennessee to help Fitzpatrick get the charges against him dropped. Huff told agents there would be no violence unless they were provoked into violence.

Still, he told agents he planned to travel with his Colt .45 handgun and AK-47 rifle.

The FBI monitored Huff and observed him leaving his house around 6:15 am on April 20.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol pulled him over for various traffic and registration violations.

The troopers said Huff volunteered that he planned to travel to Madisonville to take over the courthouse, to arrest the people on Fitzpatrick's warrants--who he termed "domestic enemies of the United States engaged in treason"--and to turn those arrested over to state police to place in jail.

The troopers said Huff told them if they didn't have enough people on April 20 to do all they planned on that day, they'd be back in 1-2 weeks.

The troopers said Huff also told them he was ready to die for his rights and what he believed in, and that he would not consent to a search of his truck.

"He was charged with traveling in interstate commerce with intent to incite a riot and transporting in commerce a firearm in furtherance of a civil disorder," according to The Daily Times.

James Cavanaugh, a former ATF Special Agent, joined MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Thursday to talk about the arrest. "Violence can come from the lunatic fringe, and we've seen it time and time and time again. So it can be a very dangerous movement," he said.

Groups like Oath Keepers and American Grand Jury resurge as Democrats come into power, according to Cavanaugh. "Certainly in a Democratic administration they seem to pop up. We saw them heavy in the '90s when President Clinton was in office and now they seem to be back pretty heavy now and we're having a lot of activity around the country," he said.

"If you have a loved one that's associated with a group like that or you are, you need to break off and get and try to get a dose of reality because that's really way out there on the fringe," he said.

News of Huff’s exploits has rippled across Patriot websites. At sipseystreetirregulars, longtime Alabama militiaman Mike Vanderboegh, who is now the leader of the Three Percenters group, noted that Huff is a Christian Identity minister. Christian Identity is an anti-Semitic and racist theology.

so Georgia Militia allowed this man in its group in the first place? :ugh:

I think I'll have to retract my request...

Times Square Bomber Tells All
June 21, 2010 - 8:05 PM | by: Shira Bush

Faisal Shahzad pleaded guilty Monday to the May 1 attempted car bombing in New York City's Times Square, but his plea didn't stop there. He needed to be heard and was itching to tell his story.

The federal court judge asked him, after making sure he understood what he was pleading guilty to, to explain what he did. And in great detail, Shahzad told the courtroom how he went to Pakistan for 40 days and had five days of training with the Pakistan Taliban. He then came back to Connecticut with money the Taliban gave him, rented a room in Bridgeport, and then built a bomb.

He said he built it in three parts, in case something went wrong. The first part was fertilizer in the trunk, the second was cylinders of gas and the third was petrol to make a fire in the car. Several times he said he didn't work with anyone in the U.S. and the co-conspirators were in Pakistan.

He said, "It seemed like none went off, and I don't know why."

He then walked to Grand Central with his semi automatic rifle in a laptop case. Fearful he would be caught he tried to escape at JFK airport.

He kept saying he is a mujahedeen Muslim soldier and tried to kill or injure people in Times Square and damage a building. He said he picked Times Square because it is crowded. It was a Saturday evening.

When the judge asked him about killing innocent women and children, he said he was a Muslim solider, and U.S. forces in Muslim lands attack civilians, too. "I am part of the U.S. uprising on Muslim nations and Muslim people," he said.

He also described at great detail the Taliban in Pakistan, saying the offshoot was created six years ago. He went on to say Pakistan took a u-turn and became an ally of the U.S. and started fighting and killing the Taliban.

The judge asked if he was aware what he was doing a crime, and he said he wouldn't consider it a crime. Then the judge asked if he was aware he was violating the law, and he said, "I do realize it is a violation of law in the U.S., but I do not care about the laws in the U.S."
