cook food with liquid nitrogen

Is that safe to eat? I'm kinda nervous to try when someone use liquid nitrogen to cook with something.

So far, I have read the safely about liquid nitrogen that have odorless, colorless, tasteless and may produce asphyxia without any sensation or prior warning.

So, I wonder if anyone have experience on eat certainly food that "cook" from that chemical?
 
I doubt it is an issue, since Nitrogen is everywhere and everybody breathes it everyday.
 
I saw Tv "Top Chef" (channel bravo?) and dislike it!! make me nervous to eat it!
 
someone just told me that liquid nitrogen are pretty use most on frozen food that we had. Oh boy...
