Coaches Reprimanded for 'Crybaby Award'

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (AP)
- The coaches of a middle school basketball team who humiliated one of their players by giving him a ``crybaby award'' will likely face disciplinary action from district officials.

The 13-year-old boy's coach called him just before last month's team banquet and told him to make sure he attended because he was getting a special trophy, the boy's father said.

Myself, these coaches should be fired.

No such person whose job is to educate the youths should make such an attempt to destroy somebody's self-esteem!

Yes, I agreed.. Affect boy turns out to low-self esteem..

Fire'em Coach!

If the coach was trying to be funny, it's not working

The heartless son of a bitch should be suspended for lack of sentitivity to children especially with a 13 year old child. If he ever did it again then yes he should be fired because he hasn't learn the lesson.

I'd say kick his fukin azz! he had no right to treat that poor kid! that kid will be scarred for life! I had a gym teacher did similiar same thing to me and my mom had his azz kicked big time and a threat if he did it again, the principal will fire his azz!. I have never forgotten or forgave him but i dont dwell on it.

i read that article yesterday and i was  to read that -- i think the coach should be FIRED!!!!!!!

I think they already suspended him, after they spread the news from CNN and others

Had this happened to my son or for that matter anyone on my son's team. The coach would have found himself alone with no witnesses getting the worse ass kicking of his life until he either passed out from pain or cried himself.
