Can a member request a thread to be re-opened after it has been closed because it was fun/funny to prevent additional threads in the future?
Noticed there are a TON of locked threads recently.

I guess you would have to ask a moderator this. Or maybe you can start a new thread ?

Nah, I like the old better... much more fun.... shame that the forum fills up with closed threads rather than just deleting or re-opening the old ones.
 
I guess that depends on why it was closed. Like if the mods closed it because of it was getting out if control, arguing, probably not. If the OP requested it however, you could maybe ask them to ask the mods to reopen it and they might.

Yes.....been happening a lot. Some people don't play well with others. They start a thread and it doesn't go as well, or in a direction they like....so they ask the mods to close it. Like a kid taking away their toys when the other kids aren't playing how they want them to.
 
Is there a limit on how many threads can be locked per year? Or is it unwritten rules of the world of electronic era?

Alex or moderators can close any threads for any reason, so there is no limit.

Follow AD rule so your thread won't get locked up.
 
There's no limit on how many closed threads there can be- if there was that would make the job of the moderators a LOT more difficult...

Unfortunately the mods do have to respect the 'wishes' of whoever the thread starter is..sad but true. Ambrosia said it better than I could have.
 
Ambrosia pretty much said what I would tell you. There's no limit to lock a thread, if everyone play nice then that wouldn't happen.... right? ;)

I'd rather have a JD & Coke or a shot of tequila ... or around here better make it a 5th :dunno2:

I saw on the news that there chewable tequila drink out now. I only heard the sound bite and not the whole story so I am not sure if this is on the market yet.

Oh boy...I remmy many threads....years back....:shock:...and wondering too...if the language in those threads had some members running for the hills and never coming back!....:lol:
