Chinese theme park rips off Angry Birds

The wildly popular smart phone game Angry Birds has flown off the screen and into real life at a theme park in China that lets visitors shoot model birds at giant pig balloons.

The Window of the World theme park in Changsha, in Hunan province, opened its Angry Birds attraction to the public on September 1, CBS news reports.

The game's developer Rovio has not yet responded to the unauthorised use of its material, but a spokeswoman for Rovio China, Daisy Yang, said it would welcome a partnership with the theme park.

A park official said the slingshot game enabled visitors to let out their stress and frustration.

"This [Angry Birds] serves as a method for people to purge themselves and to gain happiness," the official said.

Window of the World will feature its Angry Birds attraction until the end of September.

That's another one for the "What's Wrong With China?" books. ;)

Seriously... when is China going to stop it with all of this crap?
