Children Found Safe, Police Search For Shooter - Indiana News Story - WRTV Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS -- Three young boys have been found safe after police said they were taken from a northeast side home where two women were shot, one fatally, early Saturday morning.
Police were called to a home at 5419 E. 42nd St. just after 7 a.m. Saturday on a report of two people shot, said Indianapolis police Lt. Jeffrey Duhamell.
One of the women -- who were sisters -- was shot multiple times. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition, Duhamell said.
Police said three boys -- ages 2, 4 and 6 years old -- were taken from the home, while a 1-year-old girl was left behind, unharmed.
The boys were found just after noon at another person's house, Duhamell said.
It's believed the boys' father -- Marco Robinson (pictured) -- was involved in the shooting and then took the boys from the home.
Investigators recovered his vehicle shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday.
Robinson is described by police as black, 28 years old and 250 pounds. Duhamell said Robinson had cut his hair.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
The children were unharmed, police said. An Amber Alert was not issued in this case.
