Interesting. Does this mean you wouldn't move to an area because a certain race or age group lived there?

don't we all? I asked this same question earlier

Depends on situation but I wouldn't want to share because don't want any members think that I'm racist.

I know that some people, especially majority, of course white non-hispanics so they use Census to check on demographic if area is mostly white as they preferred so they could move in because I noticed that white flight is very common right now.

Along with census, better to visit area in real life before you buy the house because some area could change so rapidly, such as decline of home value and demographic shift like from middle class into low income neighborhood.

Jiro made a good point.

Not me. I pick the area I want and the house I want......I don't let the race or age of people in the neighborhood affect my decision.

If we do not send the form back we can get fined! I love how the ads on TV
show money falling out of the sky to help pay for our schools, fire departments, etc! It said by sending back the form it help our town and cites get it fair share of state funding! Right! Then why our roads and bridges falling apart ,and why had been two states had to shut down their public
schools for a lack of funding! One city had to close one of it public school and send the kids to our other schools which will be over crowded if we do not get another school soon!
I'm afraid lots of that falling money went to pay for the Census TV ads and pre-Census mailings. :(

By law, real estate agents are not allowed to give you racial demographics. You will have to look up yourself.

Demographics does matter to me.

Absolutely. A racially diverse community is very important to me. Of course I can judge that when I visit the neighborhood and visit the schools and stores...No need for government info.

Yea, that's one of my concerns. All I know is that there are many corrupted people out there. What happened to the honesty nowdays ?
