Is anyone using the Cap-Tel? I discovered this the other day and am really interested in getting it! Relay takes forever sometimes! Let me know if anyone is using this. I think I can benefit over this more than spending on a VCO phone. Thanks

This looks like something for people who use the phone to make voice calls while using relay at the same time.

I could do the same thing, but I'm more satisfied using online relay. :thumb:
 
Yeah it's a full duplex form of VCO, If CapTel isn't available where you are you can get the next best thing with a computer and a non-dialup internet connection. Log into the online relay of your favorite relay company, ask for a 2-line VCO call, and give the relay Operator your number, they call you, then you perform a conference call with the person you're calling.

For this to work, you need a internet connection that dosn't tie up your phone line, and you need 3-way calling ability on your phone. (this cost extra for some people) (if you don't have 3 way calling you can also use two phone lines and a phone that supports conference calling on both lines, hence the name "2-line vco")

I've never had a chance to use CapTel myself but I use 2-line VCO quite often.
