Actor Cameron Douglas got sentence to five years in jail for drugs but his dad Michael Douglas who is actor had no comments to press&media on his son's jail sentence its would be till 2015.

5 years for selling drugs...he deserve it, and learn from it (hopefully).
 
Well, in a way, it is good to see that money does not always get you off.

But I bet if he behaved well in prison, his sentence will be cut in half.
 
He got lucky. I think I read somewhere that it's 10 years, the mandatory sentence for this type of crime.
 
poor douglas money and being famous did not save his son, this is his lesson, hope he gets A+
 
A daughter's ex boyfriend pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, sentenced to two years, time for good behavior he was out in a year.

But then he was a nobody, just a routine case. Cameron Douglas is high profile and the D.A. will want to prove they are on the job.
 
Perhaps "making an example of him"??....But again, dealing/selling/using drugs is a crime. And I believe he's had other run-ins with the law regarding his drug usage.....And of course, his parents $$$ got him a lesser sentence, no doubt about it! A good lawyer, good behavior...could get him out in less than a year...then he's right back to where he started....

A friend of ours "only" got 12 years!...But, his record was bad (at a young age), and his last run-in with the law...they wanted to lock him up for life....he got a top-notch lawyer, paid for by his parents, over $15,000...then the lawyer kept postponing the trial over and over...he sat in jail for a year before going to Court.....and was able to get 12 years!...Lucky??...Nah!...$$$ Talks along with a crooked lawyer!
 
I see you live in Florida.

I live in California. Here everything is illegal. However few ever seem to suffer serious punishment unless they have long drawn out records.

oh really! But none of my busniess on your daughter's ex boyfriend on pleaded guilty i would respect your family and your daughter.

Darn tootin', Berry....All these celebrities with everything anyone could want...and they choose drugs?....My guess is they believe they can bend the law, do whatever they want and get by with it....

We have a very good Drug Rehab Program here in Jax. It's called "The Matrix". No bending of the Rules there...and they do "lock down", same as prisons.....Last I heard it has an 83% recovery for addicts, and a list of candidates a mile long trying to get in and off drugs, out of that lifestyle.
