Julia Child: Butter, but I think it's coming back. I think people have been so afraid of everything, and I think that's a very dangerous point of view. I belong to the American Institute of Wine and Food, and our motto is moderation, small helpings, no seconds -- that's terribly important -- and no snacking.
I don't use butter or margarine much, except olive oil. Olive oil is best than butter and margarine. If, I am usin' a toast, then, I would use jam or peanut butter to spread on it without butter or margarine. Butter and margarine are not good for health when women gets older.
I use butter mainly for cooking things that absorb the butter... but I use oil for things I'm frying. Butter gives onion a nice soft taste and it's really good. Margarine is just as good but it's a cheaper, fatter version of butter.
I always use real butter..i dont like margarine ugh! its not really good for you anyways..butter tastes better in everything you cook and bake! so butter rules! heh!
