Hey Doug, you are really lucky, man !!!! I rememember at a party a couple of years ago some guy wanted to prove he was cool and impress the ladies so he was cooking in the kitchen and chopping up some green peppers and onions and some meat was in the cooking pan then he actually chopped a small part of his thumb off and he was losing blood so fast that in a matter of few mintunes he just hit his head really hard on the floor then 911 was called because many people wanted to help him while he was awake and he did not want any help. He stayed at the hospital and now is very lucky to be alive. It pays to be very careful with the butcher's knife and make sure the butcher knife does fit in your hand and is not too big to hold also, a butcher's knife makes a very good U.S. Homeland Security knife because in a survival situation you will have an easier time cutting deer meat and cut vegetables etc. Keep 2 butcher knives , one for meat and the another one for vegetables. Please do take extra care when using the butcher knife or any knife also too.
