:jaw: I was watching the news tonight...the bus driver was driving...and accident hit the man who was riding his bicycle...When the man fell...the bus driver looked back, saw it and drove off...he did not even stopped and checked to see if the man was okay...he just drove off instead! :pissed:

I couldn't believe it! The bus driver confessed that he wish he should've stopped and helped the man... :ugh:

The news didnt mention about children were on the bus... :dunno: but I will try to find out more informations..

The bus driver got suspended and lost his job! He deserved it! :D :thumb:

The good news is that the man is completely healthy and not injured..he spoke on the news...It's a miracle that he's alive! WHEW!

I could NEVER do this to anyone! That is why the law passed for Bicyclists to ride their bicycle on the opposite of the road! sigh..these people are stubborn and don't follow the law...that's why they either get injured or killed...

Got a link sweetie? cause I haven't heard of this story today on the news :dunno:

It's against law for bicyclists to ride on road or they can get tickets with no more than $500 fine. They should ride on cycle path that where next to BRT,

TrippLA , I remember when I was in California. The cops were very strict about jaywalking. I never seen that anywhere else before. I could not believe that !!!! The cops were very aggressive towards me, of course they have the right to be aggressive. It is their job to be but on something as small as jaywalking. I was told by the judge that it was a big issue in California because of the wide roads. I forgot how much I paid for it because I was still too pissed off. I had forgotten about it till tonight. I still can't remember how much it was for. I know it was alots. The LAPD wrote me a citation then they were about ready to take me to jail so I just signed the ticket. No need to make the situation bad than it was already but I was fuming that day for sure. Don't even think about jaywalking in L.A. or the LAPD will get you. The LAPD came out of nowhere on Harley motorcycles then more police cars showed up probably because I had on a green army jacket. I remember 2 motorcycles then 7 cars came up !!!!! They had guns trained on me. All just for jaywalking. I actually was not jaywalking on purpose or anything like that but I needed to get across a street that was it. Not worth to do it. Don't jaywalk anywhere in L.A.

Well, his driving licence should be removed from him with a heavy fine and bad points on him.

Pleased to know he lost his job for his careless driving!

No. Many people have to ride their bicycles on the street, every day. They have to obey the same traffic rules as cars.

The law is, bicycles must travel in the same direction as car traffic. They must follow the same laws as cars. That is, they must stop for traffic lights and Stop signs, and use hand signals for turning and stopping.

Pedestrians are supposed to walk/jog/run in the opposite direction of traffic.

I guess that is not the first time that kind of accident happened:

A bus almost hit me in middle school... Everyone got pissed about it since she wasn't looking before she took off, it wasn't her first time she did it. I'm sorry to hear about the news, hope he's ok!!
