I was almost expecting this sooner or later, but depending on which state that Jamie Lynn gives birth in - the hospital would not likely release the child to Jamie Lynn but rather the grandmother, simply because Jamie Lynn is a minor herself.
You can bet on Zoey 101 is cancelled for good and any contracts she might have had with Nickelodeon are pretty much cancelled, but there could be a show on MTV or VH1 later on. (just speculating).
I bet many parents across the nation are now forbidding their daughters from watching Zoey 101 due to the underage sex and pregnancy.
Britney is trash, all we can do is hope that Jamie Lynn is a better mother than Britney ever thought about being. But it really says something about Britney when they said they are telling K-Fed before they tell Britney.

My concern is that since Jamie is a role model to many pre-teens including my daughter, that they will think it is cool and try to follow in her footsteps. I just hope my daughter will have enough common sense to realize that getting pregnant at 16 is not such a cool thing to do. I will definitely have a talk with her about it if she brings it up.

The boyfriend isn't a celebrity. Besides, he's only 18, she's 16. The boyfriend was born in April 1989, Jamie was born in April 1991.
Barely 2 years apart.
Besides, how would it help if the father was thrown into the slammer? Really, tell me. How would that help improve the situation? He should be there for Jamie to play the role of the father of the child instead of being locked up in a small cell.

Yeah but in some states, they lock up those who have sex with minors (under 18) for statutory rape even the suspect is 18 or 19 years old. The boyfriend will be part of celebrity since Jamie is actress as well as the father of her unborn baby and Jamie is sister of the infamous Britney.
I'm sure there is question how to improve the situation but as we know some areas the law wants the justice done first than have him play role as father of child. Which is sad, the law can be extreme sometimes.
yes that is true, I saw the news on T.V. other night. Many parents are very concerned about Britney because she wore sexy clothes tight pants and enlarge breasts, etc... Teenager girls want to be like Britney to give the parents have a bad headache and over protection on their daughters. Now, Jamie Lynn is pregnancy, the teenager girls think it is cool to become pregnancy. They bought ton of teenager magazines to imaginary to become famous like Britney and Jamie Lynn.
The society is horrible with all the media TV, radio and magazines for the teenager girls. The parents's job emphasized the daughters saying, "No Sex" during high school. There are high percent cervix cancer due to sexual involvement.
It is very scared for all the parents concern about their daughters what they wear, involve with boys, etc... We can't keep our eyes on them 24/ 7.
The communication is the key... opening, discuss, pay attention and support with your daughters.
Myself, I think the statutory rape law is too strict in some states. It's a waste of taxpayers' money when the suspect is only a few months to a couple years apart from the "victim".
The word, rape is a very strong word and people use it very loosely these days. A rape is a violent act of force against one's will.

There have been times where the bf is 18 and the gf is 17 and the bf is thrown into jail because he had sex with a minor even though it was consensual on both parts. There is one case where the bf is only 18 - football star on the honor roll and he is looking at 10 years in the slammer. The two had consensual sex. The only reason the boy is in trouble is because the girls younger sister told their mother.
That's quite a pity that the boyfriend's once-bright future is now ruined thanks to his girlfriend's mother.
Some people, I just cannot understand why they are so hellbent on ruining people's lives to get so-called justice for some ridiculous reasons.
