You misunderstand what PRISM is then. When the Bush administration passed the Patriot Act, they passed a law that still required a warrant to wiretap people's emails, phone calls etc.

Even the lawmakers of the Patriot Act came forward and said this.

The Obama administration is SPYING on the American people ... no warrants. This is the information Snowden released to the public. You are attempting to blame Bush .. that strategy is very old, is not working anymore. It is also a sidestep ... Bush is not the President anymore, Obama is.

Section 215 of the 2001 Patriot Act (written during the Bush Administration) very clearly outlines the requirement for a warrant.

No, NSA spying on civilian was part of PRISM, that was created under GWB Admin and Obama Admin chose to continue.

They get warrant from secret court (FISA).

Manning has not yet had a legal sex change or name change. Therefor, he is still Bradley.

People who complete the sex change process get new birth certificates, legal name changes, new driver's license, etc. Writing one letter for the press doesn't constitute a legal sex change in any way, shape or form.

Klinger was not a transgender , he was just a guy trying to get out of the war. And there is no prove that Manning is a transgender. The military is not buying his story.
 
While I was in the Army and DADT was repealed, I thought it was about time, it was marked up as a huge victory, until I realised it completely ignored transgender part of the LGBT community, but nobody seemed to care about that. If Chelsea Manning wants to transition, I think they should since she was found before the trial by a military psychiatrist to have GID. What Mannings motives were, I don't know, I can't say with absolute certainty, but the issue is not about motives, there was a trial for that. What GWB or Obama did, isn't the issue here, they are both bad in my book, but that is beside the point.

Which basically means that Manning is just trying to get out of a lengthy prison sentence - like Klinger was trying to get out of the Army.
