Bott/"Fun Thread"/Chinese food...

LDNanna, I should send you Newfie toutons recipe!

@ katerivera - me too. I love to meet people from different cultures and learn new and authentic recipes. That is how I learned to make the food I listed above. My Indian friends taught me curry and Bebonang sent a recipe for native fry bread. Oh it was really good.

I wish I knew people who'd help me learn stuff like that. Is curry and such hard to make?

I only know two of my favorite asian food.

Chinese food: chicken lo mein, sweet & sour chicken, curry fried rice, chinese chicken salad, eggplant tofu, dumplings, baozi pork buns, hot n' sour & wonton soup.

Japse food: tempura, udon noodles, miso soup, sukiyaki, teriyaki, calif rolls, kinako mochi dessert (rice cake) & gyoza dumpling.

I love indian food too only one time at the restaurant n' iranian persian rice, grd beef kababa, baklava, yogurt n' cucumbers, but haven't tried other int'l food.

Kobari beef? I tried that the other day at Panda Express, but I don't know if it is an authentic food, or just made up by Panda.

I am thinking about cooking some Pad Thai for dinner...

what can I trade you for some Pad Thai??
or bring to share!
:)

I had vegetable egg rolls for lunch. Also made some egg drop soup.

well if anybody's still interested in the sizzling rice soup, I did bring some and also some more egg rolls and some dumplings :)

I love Chinese, Thai, and Indian food. I have tried Vietnamese food but I'm not wild about it and I've tried Korean food. I'm not sure if I hate Korean food and there's a Korean restruant near me but it's not very good. I would have to sample other Korean restruants before I decide I hate Korean food.

I love Thai food! My dad took the family out for Chinese food a lot but when we got food dad would hungry ! He called it rabbit food! I when out to eat with my sister at Indian food restaurant and I order a meal thinking I knew what it was. It was some hamburger cooked fancy a way and I almost cried! I was home from boarding school and all we had was hamburger cooked a difference way! My sister let me have her meal instead!
