I don't think you understanding me here, Matter of fact some are expert with the bible, but it's their personality that sucks. They say they are born-again Christians but they do lie, they do hurt others around them. Is that the way born-again Christians suppose to be acting? I think not. If a life changing is made after they're touched by Jesus with holy spirit, they should be changing their ways to do goods to others, not bad.

Forgiveness

An act of God's grace to forget forever and not hold people of faith accountable for sins they confess; to a lesser degree the gracious human act of not holdin' wrong acts against a person. Forgiveness is the gracious act of God by which believers are put into a right relationship to God and transferred from spiritual death to spiritual life through the sacrifice of Jesus. It is also the ongoin' gift of God without which our lives as Christians would be " out of joint " and full of guilt. In terms of a human dimension, forgiveness that act and attitude toward those who have wronged us that restores relationships and fellowship.

Jesus is the perfect and final Sacrifice through whom God's forgiveness is mediated to every person ( Acts 13:38; Romans 3:25; Hebrew 9:14, 28; 10:11-12 ). Forgiveness through the sacrifice of Christ is available for everyone who truly repents ( Luke 23:39-43; John 8:2-11 ).

And, also Jesus mentioned about 70 times 7 .. that means, still more to forgive if, one makes a mistake or somethin' that is against God/people. There's no limit.

Well, there's only way you can do is to pray for them or try to reconcile with them by makin' truce...

Born again Christians are not perfect, because they live in the flesh - they are still sinners. But, it may take awhile or longer for them to change after somethin' hit them real hard. It's not our time, but God's and He will take care of them. I know I've seen some of them don't change, but I don't let it to bother me, except to move on or just flow with them by makin' conversation until maybe, one day they'll change... who knows ? :dunno: Every Christian is different. Some are too judgmental -- some are too racists or hatred - really, it's all vary. Just pray for them.

Ok, If they're not perfect what gives them the right to preach us for our sins that we commited when they've sins too. I don't get it. Explain that to me.

When you said it takes them a while to change, I thought once they're touched by a holy spirit their whole life change within minutes after they've been touched.

When Paul said, when we are in Christ Jesus, we are new creature, not mean you won't sin again, it means our new position, we were under the law (old natuure), and now in Christ , we live in Grace (new nature). Then why still struggling in sin, problem and etc. Bec we still have the flesh, as Paul been saying that we are at war till He calls us Home, that is flesh and Spirit. Remember Jesus said if we want to folow Him, we must die daily and take up the cross daily. Also, about whole armor of God, its a daily battle. But many christian doesn't study the Bible daily and rely on God's power everyday which causes christians becomes stagnant and stuck in the mud. Each christian respond differently.

It can be touch their life once they are willing to give up of all what they have done was wrong or the sin. Even; give up the favorite thing.

For people like you say that they preach you about what you done is wrong. Don't worry, if you accept Jesus in your heart as savior. Its forever; but doing the right way mean do like what Jesus do. If the other person is christian and you knew they do but not look at their heart that you are guessing. If you knew that person cheat with another person during the married. You know what it mean, that not right with God's will. Include its playing the game.

About Holy Ghost as other word Holy spirit is your coach and help you to become better and improve all life that God provide you from bible that told you and teach and wonderful by amazing thing history that we haven't seen.

There are many thing are strange but it will open door in every step you go. If they peacher you if you are try understand or being accept a while ago like at least 2 years ago..

Strong and Strange thing.....

If the person that you knew and you accept Jesus as your savior. You learn the bible but not depend on human on earth. Depend on church (people) that do right with Lord. Whoever is doing right and mature and grow. The grow and mature is show their age.. for example, I am 26 years old and the people think I am 35 :ugh2: It is because they don't see my common age like another do. If you see person who act like high school.. mean they have not grow with God and letting GOD charge in your life.

We still do have sinner and we just have to grow with Lord and doing best. I am not saying, its ok do one time is sin.

For example; if you go restroom and finish your business then Flush. One day, you missed that feel and willing go back to restroom and swim into the sew to take that feel you want in old time. So you walk around and people can smell you cuz you came out from sew like sin.

Hope that made sense... :)

Well, at fisrt you sense the changes, but like months, or years, based on your daily walk, if not deeply devoted, we will be stagnant and eaisly follow many peoples beliefs of any kinds. But as I explained the recent thread, there are each christian respond differently. Now, see, without Christ, sin claws hold the person, sin doesn't mean what we do itself, its what we were born with, that is from Adam, now in Christ sin (from Adam) has lost its powers and can't hold against us, bec the blood. But the flesh still rage against our Spirit. Its on going battle,

Not within minutes after they've been touched by the Holy Spirit. After they are born again Christian, it takes the time for him/her to grow in the Lord. It's the Holy Spirit's job to teach him/her the Word of God by understandin'/gettin' to know Him. From baby until becomes an adult ( from milk until solid meat ). Same idea with the newborn " flesh " baby - a mother/father must nuture the baby with milk first until the baby gets older, then the baby start eatin' real food. But, for the spirit as born again, the bible is our spirit's food to help us to grow to get to know God/Jesus personally and have an intimate relationship with Him. Pray is to help us to resist the temptation. Fellowship is to help us to encourage our spirit to grow closer to God through brothers and sisters in Christ and all. Same idea with the flesh baby/child to enjoy playin' with other kids and everythin' in this world, but with God -- everythin' is opposite, because of spirit and flesh don't mix. But, when the spirit start becomin' strong after bein' nutured through months or years or weeks, dependin' on a person's motivation and seek for God some more..then, the flesh will become more less and less ( less temptation ).

Each born again Christian's response is different. Some finally changes in one year - or some finally changes in 5 months .. really, it all depends on a person's heart. Only God knows their hearts. We have no answers to know how long it takes for each person to change. We can't read their hearts.

It's true we cannot see what's in anyone's heart or mind. but we can see the way they behave, their actions. I don't think born-again Christians are any special than the rest of us, because for one, they're a sinner too, and I don't like how they think they have all this power to control people by preaching us the words from the bible. Isn't it up to each one of us to decide who to follow and who to believe?

Endymion, You don't need to withdraw from this discussion, Feel free to say what's on your mind. ;)

Nah, the way I see it is that "Christians" who get upset every time they sin and commune with God after each and every time they sin are living a legalistic life when they don't need to..........the "true" Christian knows he is a sinner but is at peace with him/herself because he knows that Jesus did it all for him and his carriage/behavior in life is based on grace. That said, a Christian so saved works hard at being a "good" person or as Christ-like as possible.

The legalistic approach is a contradiction in terms for attainment is impossible. Reba, help! LOL!

P.S. Nice to see ya back, Cheri, btw,,,,,,,and Angel, too, wherever you are. Did a lotta ribs lately, huh?

I notice from reading that terrorists, murders and crimes become born-again Christians after free from jails. They learn something from bibles when they were in jails.

Yes I know it's not just them but anyone in general way. One American-Mexcian wrestle-star Eric died of heart attack last year is born-again Christian and still wrestle...

I will search the internet to find out about him and link here.

I know about him because my son is fan of Eric (?).

Wrestle-Star Eddie claimed that he's born again Christian but he still work as wrestler. A friend I know, give Wrestler up to be JW belief and regret what he "hurt" people during wrestle... which it's wrong... But Eddie continue do that until he died.

Oh yeah! I'm agree with you.

You know there're bad and good sports what they can... wrestle belongs to "bad sports" (violence) as what the "bible say" it's wrong to hurt people... If born again Christians realized that it's wrong to hurt people then do something different... It's not my suggest but give you the example about this. Example about Opal's thread "Witchcraft".
http://www.alldeaf.com/showthread.php?t=29992&highlight=witchcraft

One British scoocer star give up his career to become born again Christian (JW belief) around 1960 because he know it's wrong to "hurts" people.

All what I want to say is this is a hypocrisy when anyone who claim to be true Christian, born-again christian etc.

Accord Relgion belief, if anyone who give up everything as what the bible written then is true Christian.

All what I want say is

Well, you still have your own choice to decide who to follow and who to believe. Follow your heart what you feel is right for you. Every person is not the same to feel what's right or what's not right. Every person's view is different. They feel different from what we feel or what they think different from what we think. Some grew up very strong in background, some don't. Like for example : I see one person keep postin' links from website repeatly and thought it was annoyin' WHILE others don't see it anythin' wrong. They may see that I bash that person while I don't see bein' bash on that person. Every person sees different. It often times that it could be misunderstandin'.

When they preach us at the same time they don't examine their own hearts first, then it could cause friction against one another's difference. It is hard because, everyone is different. It's why each person still have their own choice to decide who to follow and who to believe. Some group have the similiar agreement on POV, opinions/experiences because they were there before at different times and places. How many groups are they out there that are different from one group to another ? Many of them... maybe ? :dunno: It reminds me of the story about " Babel Tower " God caused one language into many languages. Each country have their own foreign language and we can not understand their language, but their own people do. We understand our English language with our own people. Each culture, background, and environment is different, too. It's why we have soo many problems out there in the world today. There's no peace.

You could still have your own choice to decide who to follow and who to believe. Just simple by followin' your own heart what is right for you. :)
