ALL for your kind thoughts!! I am very glad for them!
Turns out my mom had a pre-surgical consult with the orthopedic surgeon who repaired my broken arm couple years ago. He is an associate of the person they were thinking of to do the surgery and we have asked HIM- who fixed my arm - to do the procedure as we know more of him and he ended up rated as one of the area's best for that specialty. Due to some arthritic changes in the hip socket she'll be having a partial hip replacement, which the surgeon has performed many of. Apparently her injury is very common for people in this age range. Procedure is set for about noon tomorrow. whatdidyousay! Right now she is in the hospital. After the surgery she will probably be in the hospital for some days and then go to rehab on the same grounds.
She apparently thought the injury was nothing and with some help got up after falling and WALKED to her car at the mall and drove home.
Bebonang you also please walk on the good road as I know you do, perhaps you will never break your hip!
I am honored....
RR, yes, I think we will

Yes this a common injury among the elderly , their bones are so fragile.
I had to be very careful moving some of my clients as their so fraigie .
It is amazing your mum was able to walk , I would thought she would be in horrible pain. I hope she will be better soon. I am so worried about falling on ice and breaking my hip!
