Or is is 2013 already out in USA?

My favourite is Mount Olympus 2012 from Marlborough of New Zealand, it is a Sauvigonon Blanc, and it is smashing beautitul, not too sharp, not rough on the nose, and full of gooseberry, blackcurrents and some cictrus.

my next is the Red, Mitre Rock 2008, a Pinot Noir, i aged it, carefully, and it hasnt shed all of its floral, berry yet, still has lots of CHerry , and whiffable thruough its alcohol fumes, licks of chocolates, and brambles sheilding the 'dissappeared mint leaves'...amazing so its STILL NOT dropping, at its peak..

a couple german reisilings, these wil go 100+ ,but id pop it in 20 years from now...

so ...
what's your current favs?

give grape types, year of harvest/bottling...
characrerisitc and how you like it
simple!

and lastly was it bought from real shops or online...

The most memorable wine I had last year was a 100% Negroamaro from the Puglia region of Italy. Unfortunately I can't find my tasting notes. I think it was a 2008 bottling, and it came in a distinctive bottle shape (very heavy) with a blue label. Scrolling through a few wine websites has failed to find a match. The wine was a gift from someone I rarely see, so I have no idea where to get it from.

But I will never forget the taste. Very bitter and acidic, but not in an unpleasant way. So different from any other red wine I've had. It made me realise how bland most wine is these days.

I am not sure what I like the most. I spent some times in Saugatuck, MI last year where they give 5 free samples. Here in Evanston, there is a place that charges $5 for a certain # of samples. I think I like Michigan better than Illinois because of that reason.

As for wines, I would prefer red over white. I have no favorites, though.

Dunno, been sober for 80 days, heh!

welcome!! congrats on 80 days. my girlfriend has been sober for about month and half. I am happy for her since she is working on losing weight, workout and all like this. nice.

2011 Altoninum evodia, hot looking woman at Trader Joe's pointed it out.

It's not a bad wine.

sorry my bad, but yup i loved chards, im planning to get a
Calmel et JJoseph Villa Blanche Chardonnay 2012 soon
cheap but Very good...
"Powerful nose of ripe peach and pear. Fruit-driven and intense. The palate shows fresh citrus and peach fruit with some figgy richness and a hint of toast. Fruity to the very end, with good acidity. A brilliant effort."

Not only did this incredible value French white achieve a Gold Medal in the prestigious Chardonnay du Monde wine show, but it was rated in the Top 10 wines for the competition overall, (from over 900 wines tasted) which includes dozens and dozens of the world's most revered and expensive Chardonnays! Not too shabby. This wine is a must buy.

obviously south african, but i did try this wine from nz it wine made from kiwie fruit,it devine

usually I get finger lakes wines every year. I stopped going since widmer closed since it was my favorite one to go to.
Now I have a few wines in my collections and some are already 20 years old. I even have one from maui, HI I picked up in person.

Right now we just get california stuff like white Zinfandel from a local liquor store.
