I wonder, do you use your AD blogs? Why or why not? What do you learn a new something about blogs that you don't know? Or, maybe, you just don't know how to use it?

Just curious. :)

With that reason, I create this thread for help each other because it seems not so many members use blogs.

EDIT: Oh, and, maybe the AD blog needs some improvement, too? :dunno:

Yes, I used to use the AD blogs a long time ago when I first registered. It was useful to keep the notes for information and links. I also saved youtubes and posts to the blog that I wanted to check again another time.

Eventually, Alex may have to upgrade to the next version of vBulletin (4) to keep the support with the service. I don't know when or if that will happen. In VB4, the blog format is changed a bit, but I'm not sure if it's popular. I didn't get to use it, but you can check it out at the official site here: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php

Did a few times but no more. I forgot about them. hehehe

I like to save mine for more detailed/lengthy writings - more permanent worthy material. Everyday stuff goes to the regular forum.

I agree. Blogs should have over 50,000 words or something. I don't like to have a limit for just letters or words. =/

Anyway, I just randomly search through blogs and I notice some members seemingly like/prefer blogs to forum posts. It's interesting, and I don't think it is a bad thing. :hmm:

^^^^ This. Plus I used mine to post my audiogram and speech discrimination results because I thought it was taking up too much room in my signature; now I just link to it from my signature.

So, I don't use it a lot -- but I'm glad the option is there.

I never understood what the use of a blog is, so I never ventured there.

Blogs are just for personal lives/opinions on anything, write novels, write articles/news, and etc. It is kinda of similar to LiveJournal, GreatestJournal, InsaneJournal, Blogspot, and etc.

I have only used it once. I sure got a lot of looks though. I was shocked to see how many!

No, the blog need to be something that doesn't waste their time to read. Something need to be very interesting and quick include the photo or video. It will increase more traffic by their time..

BTW I have been doing blog once few time a month.

It's hard to keep blog everyday, that way I could have increase traffic. My bad.... :)

I've never used the blog here and never looked at other's blogs. Am I missing something?

I disagree. Users have different preferences, so they should have a right to write about something. If someone wants to write, go for it. Some write long, and some write short. So, why limit its words?

Long one, if you really have mean to explain something or order in give inspire. Then go for it.

I understand what you said, but I don't think you get what I mean. Blogs should have a unlimited number of words or letters. 20,000 to 50,0000 words (or letters) are sound more unlimited, so that is only way bloggers don't have to worry about the limit and write whatever they want to say something. I suppose that some bloggers don't like to write two to three blogs for just one piece. The last time I write an AD blog, it said something less than 500 or 5,000 words per blog. To me, it is pretty too short...
