Bill Signed Banning Smoking In Cars With Children

Ok with this what next? We can not have the internet in our homes? Because our children may *accidently* access porn?

Oh wait a minute because our children may come across a sexual predator online?

Oops hold it no pets in the home either because well lets face it pets arent exactly healthy to own. After all there is the dander, litter boxes, fleas a pet may have an *accident* in the home.

Oh boy while we are at it lets ban all music, after all even your best music condones premarital sex and drugs. And that aint even the gangsta rap stuff.

Oh gee, here they come telling you that you cant own a tv, because lets face it now a days TV is exposing our children to sex. Yeah even on daytime TV.

Oh brother here comes the government again telling us we cannot have BEER in our homes or ANY form of alcoholic beverages. Let's face it drinking leads to drinking and driving, doesnt it? Just like smoking automatically leads to cancer and every other health problem.

Oh boy here comes the government again telling each of us we need to be microchipped for identification purposes. This is to stop terrorism.

Oh my my here they come again to tell us we all are required to have a little black box in our cars, so that the government at all times can monitor whether if we are driving safely at all times. *Not talking about GPS now*

Oh boy, here they come telling us that we have to feed our children and ourselves this menu for this week and are allowed nothing else on the meny.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Even if we are against smoking or not. The things I stated above are not so far-fetched when we start allowing the government to tell us what to do in and on our own private property.

Do you really think that they arent taking steps to make it this way? For each new law they pass telling us what we can and cannot do, just makes it so that they are one step closer to complete control of our lives.

I am smoker yes, I couldnt care less if they tell me I cant smoke a restaraunt, thats cool with me. I just choose not to eat out at restaraunts.

If they tell me I cant smoke in a park. Hey thats cool I dont go to parks anyways. My kids are grown up.

No smoking at school. Hey thats cool my daughter isnt involved with after school activities anymore. Graduation will be the only event I have to suffer at.

No smoking in my car, to hell with you, I bought and paid for it just like I bought and paid for my car, so it is my right to smoke in it if I want to. As long as I am by myself, who cares?

No smoking in my own home? Ok then you gonna pay my house payment too? IF you gonna start telling me what I can and cant do in MY home?

The government right after 9/11 started watching *some* emails of suspected terrorists. How did they determine who was suspected or not?

Airport security was tightened. Hey thats cool i can understand that. But come on really, a bottle of water is gonna be harmful?

Just like at Cedar Point after 9/11, they wont even allow you to bring in a bottle of water and no food at all. Before 9/11 you could. Stupid isnt it? A clear plastic bottle of water?

So before you start down this road with yaying about no smoking in the cars with kids, I want you to think what next?

When the government starts stepping in and we allow them to, then we are basically telling them we will not protest if they step in further. Then before we know it the government has complete control over our entire lives.

You may say, we wouldnt allow that. Americans,Australians, Britians and Germans or what have you, wouldnt allow that.

We may not want to allow that, but the government would make it practically unnoticable to us till it was too late. One little law at a time.

I can't have children but I would be interested to hear how raising a free thinking child is harmful.

Others could very well consider it to be harm, even if you don't. That is the whole point. You cannot impose your values on beliefs on others, especially in regard to an activity that is legal, unless you are willing tohave the values and beliefs of others imposed on you. Period.
