Beached Whale Dies

Yes, that is sad, although I'm glad that they were able to alleviate some of the whale's suffering. When whales beach, that's about all you can do.

However, this poor thing was so large that during the dying process, it cut itself on the coral reefs and bled profusely before the workers could do something. It was upsetting to see. But, you're right. I'm grateful that the workers were able to alleviate it's suffering as it died.
 
I seriously was expecting this to be about Rose O'Donnell. Color me surprised. :doh:

awww poor whale.. i felt bad whenever one beached themselves knowing they r dying.. :( the article mentioned that its large? maybe its old? i wonder?? hmm but being cut and was bleeding. poor whale.. i am glad they did sedate the whale so wouldnt suffer much :( at least he is at peace now..

I get his jokes too. He's just being sarcastic and I dont mind it as long its not personal. Yes, Rosie is a target of alot of jokes--fat or otherwise but she is public figure.
