I just saw this on Fox News Channel. If they ban food & drink then You can take em to court.Well the reason i brought this up because ,,I was ejected from a high school game cause i used profanity. So i ran to my lawyer and said i wanna sue the high school because i was volated of the first admendment and I said well ushers wont throw fans out at a Professonal football games if they use profanity so why should schools? .And he said they have a leagal right to eject you because the first admendment doesnt apply in public schools than professional games. He said Because Pro football is a business and High schools are not.If thats the case ONLY BUSINESSES Can say you cant food & drink like Airports,,Movie Theaters,,And Pro Sports can say No Food and Drink inside But My lawyer just told me High Schools are not a Business So Can i sue them if they tell me i cant bring food & drink in the game?

The reason they ban liquids at a high school football games could probably be because many students and other people abuse the privelege by sneaking in alcoholic drinks, or it could be because some people are not careful and spill the drinks on the floor too close to the basketball court making it dangerous for players, they could slip and break their necks while running up and down the court.

So, DUH!:eek3:

And you would be wasting your time, money, and energy if you try to sue them.

why want to endangered the athletes of spilled drinks on floor and slipped.. whose fault? yours cuz u bring drink in the gym.

so that made sense that they would want to ban to prevent alcoholic drinking among the students and for the basketball due to safety of the athletes ..

But they Sell Cokes & Pepsi at the Consession stand for $2 Why should i pay $2 when i can buy a Big Gulp at 7-11 for only 85 cents?Like i said Only Airports, and Movie Theaters can enforce it cause its a business.

That's probably because the school needs the profits so they can fund the uniforms, sports equipment, etc. Those things cost money.

well movie theater is open every day.. whereas the basketball games are not.. so thats why its kinda higher ..

You raise a good point. Another more sinister reason could be that some brainiac could possibly make a bomb out of the liquid material, and use it as an explosive. I know that's far-fetched and not likely to happen in most cases, but it CAN. In this day and age, people are erring on the side of caution, and banning seemingly innocent products from sporting events and the like.

Pesonally, I'm not real happy with the ban, but I'd rather people be cautious, and not take chances with my life or that of someone else. Also, back to Lucia's point, that's also true. I'd rather they ban liquids, so some dumbshit doesn't get drunk at a school sponsered event, get behind the wheel of a car, and kill someone. I think they are only being responsible. The school district can be sued for NOT being vigiliante enough! If something happens, the school system is basically screwed, so they are only watching their backs, I believe.

If you're that unhappy about it, skip the HS event, and watch football in the privacy of your own home. The vantage point is better from your living room, anyway, and you can partake of any beverage you so desire, because, it's already been prepaid for.

ocean you made a good point about people can make bomb out of liquid due to the terrorists trying to make them and bomb the planes. maybe that is another reason? so for everyones safety thats why its banned. Too bad ... its not the same as the old days.. we were carefree and worry free... and today too many things happening.. its getting crazy... :(

High School games are not ON TV And My lawyer said,,,High Schools are not a place of business there not there to make profits theyre there to teach kids to get an education. So If theyre Not a place of Business then i can sue them because over a 7-11 Big Gulp I paid for.

I KNOW HS sporting events aren't televised. I don't get it, though...

Why would you want to spend time watching a HS school event paying lots of money, when you can sit in your living room, and watch a pro event drinking your favorite beer? It makes no sense to me, I guess....

Eh, okay..I just think it's alittle extreme to be blowing a gasket over this. There's reasons why people do things. I must tell you, I am NOT a ban happy person. I'd be the last person to support a ban such as this. I believe in personal choice, but I can see the logic in why they feel they must do it.

Some things you don't have to like, but you must accept.

Well..Im Making case on this cause my lewyer tells me High Schools are not protected by free speech cause its ran by the state not by a company. There where Companies have the right to tell you no food or drink allowed not State ran schools.Cause if thats the case why cant they ban kids from bringing a bag lunch inside and make them pay for lunch at the cafeteria?
