Awesome Treo 650 from Sprint

Yep, I have Treo 650 Palm One. Nice, huh ? :D I just love it ! Very useful !

Geez, where have you been when Treo 650 release over a years ago?

Anyway, I am looking forward testing on Treo 700p.

I have several co-workers who are quite satisfied still with the Treo 650 or even the 600. I'm glad that the Treo 700p is planned to be released shortly, but I really have to wonder, is the Palm OS the way to go, or is Windows Mobile 5 the way to go?

Yeah, but what I'm asking is, if I could only get one device that I have to keep for 2 years, which is better, the Palm OS based device, or the Windows Mobile based device?

More and more phones are coming out with Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile 5 seems to have overcome many of the disadvantages of previous Windows PPC devices running 2003 or lesser OS.

Palm OS has been great, but Windows is Windows. Tough decision for me.

Two years of contract is killing you 'cause it is a long way to go. If there is a new brand new device that you really want one so badly, you would end up suffer with it until your contract is expired. That's what you need to think about. One year or less would be better off. That's my suggestion. Hope that helps.

I hate Windows + Microsoft because of my personal reason, I will rather to have Treo 650 or 700p. I wish that Treo will coming out with Mac features, just called Mac pocket or Mac Mobile.

Why is a 2-year contract worse? It's my understanding that the reason why companies offer contracts is so that they can offer their phones and plans at a discount to you. Without that contract, there's no incentive for them to give you a discount. All those companies who offer no contract or one year contracts, you have to pay more per month. Why pay more for something that you needs? If you don't think you'll keep it for two years, why bother buying it at all?

Well, in general, people saying that Palm OS have plenty softwares than widnows mobile does.

I used to have Palm PDA and able to upgrade, but not all Palm device can be upgrade at all. Both P and W can always crash for no reason. haha
