Australian Newbie

Ah, I recall reading about the case. So did Mackillop CC provide you with an interpreter after 2004?

No, whilst this court case was under way, in 2004 I was in year 11, and attended at an public College, (Lake Tuggeranong College) which they have signed english interpreters which I have to be patient for the last 6 years of my schooling years. But it is too late for me as I already graduated Year 12 in 2005. But it is a good reference for future use.

:welcome: to AD! My dream vacation is to go to Australia. I dont know why but I prefer to visit it than the European countries. Is there a large deaf community there?

Not as large as America have... in my hometown - Canberra which is a captial of Australia, it is only 200 deaf in the deaf commuunity but I believe there is a lot in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. But Not as bigger as the US have.

Bottesini, did you notice that it is a very old thread over two years ago? I think Jake or someone must have pop in and thought he can answer the question but found that it is his or is he joking around on this old thread of his? You don't need to welcome him as he is an old pro at it. Look at his post numbers. Geez :hmm:
