I decided to go to New Orleans all by myself.
I drove to New Orleans all by myself in a red car with filled up gas tank.
It took me 6 hours to get to New Orleans, I was driving 50 to 60 mph.
And I got there to New Orleans at 3pm ... and I tried to find
the street where tv chef Emeril Lagasse's famous resturant "NOLA"
and anyway then I found that resturant but I neededa parking space to park my car. So I parked my car on the street, and the cop said I can't park there. So I parked my car in the expensive parking garage, $10 an hour.
And so the resturant will open at 6pm, so I had to wait.
While I waited, I was worried about the parking fee, but oh well.
And I realized that I parked in the garage owned by famous expensive Hotel, and well I had to use the restroom so badly.... and I used the restroom there, and their restroom looked better than my bedroom, their doors and marble wall and floor, wow.

So anyway... I walked down the street and decided to eat something...
And I went in the pizza place... and I bought $3 slice of pizza
And then I ate that up, and then I was thirsty and said I want that,, I didn't hear the man and couldn't communicate to him well...
And he said the drink is $5.
So I drank the stuff, I thought it was Kool Aid, but nope, it had bourbon in it.
Nope I wasn't drunk, I don't think, So anyway, while I was sitting in the pizza place, the place had 3 slot machines and a vending machine with chips and boxes of cigarettes, and I was thinking what if kids get to that... and not have to use ID's to buy those cigarettes. :smoking:

So anyway, I decided to walk down the street and went in a Voodoo store
and there was some voodoo dolls there. And went into other stores and bought myself a Mariah Carey's CD and a puppy shirt.
And then there was another Voodoo Store, I went in there and saw many Voodoo dolls and zombie doll.

And then I went upstairs and saw more food stores and decided to try some crawfish and I didn't know how to eat crawfish, I had 20 crawfish on my plate $5... so I looked for the meat, and oh, it is in the tail, and I ate, it was pretty good.

And I was sitting at the table with a beautiful view of Mississippi River.

And anyway... I left there and decided to ride one of the horse trolley...
to the Nola resturant.

And anyway.... I heard the Mardi Gras was gonna be that night... but I didn't wanna go. And so I ate at Nola resturant and I paid $30 for that meal.
I noticed I was the only black person eating there... and the 2 waiters were cute, they were hispanic looking guys.

And anyway, I went back to my car, and the black woman there at the parking garage was nice enough to charged me $19 for parking there for 4 hours.

So anyway, I drove my red car out of New Orleans and that was the last time I saw the beautiful city of New Orleans and French Quarter with beautiful people there, it is so sad that it is all destroyed now. :bye:

And btw, I videotaped New Orleans, the whole city, I filmed the city, yup.
I wonder if anybody want to see New Orleans the way it was, I'll be happy to show them that.

Hmmm? Not even visit your family in town?

http://www.alldeaf.com/showpost.php?p=372198&postcount=11

Am I getting confused? :dunno:

I didn't really know them. I just now find out their real name, only knew their nickname Bobo, Shane, and ???.

See that is why family should live close by, cause when family
live in far, it is hard to get to know each other better.

The last time I remember my Uncle, he was near death... he was
so slim and sick. And then visit again for his funeral, that was it.

And his body is bury in the Mosulem, cause they can't bury body
in underground cause of the city of New Orlean was 6 feet above water.

And it is sad that Mosulem could be flooded, with his body in there.

So why should I go visit them while I was down there, if I don't know
them very well.

why would you go alone? If i was going on a trip to somewhere i would bring friends to go with me. The more peopel the more fun!

Why didnt you bring RS with you? Now u just make him more depressed. He lost AD, and DM now you don't take him out to visit new orlean.. shame on u.

If the Kool-Aid, that you thought the drink was, was actually $5.00...that's mighty expensive. A Pepsi in most restuarants cost about $1.00. If I was told that the drink was $5.00 and I didn't know what it was, I would've been suspicious...since alcoholic drinks are more expensive than the soda pops.

The reason why I go alone is because I don't have to disagree or agree with friends on deciding where to go first.
I didn't go to French Market, but if friends want to go French Market....
I know that I would be disappointed because I don't like to shop...
and I would get impatient and spend all day at French Market while my feet get hurt by standing long time, waiting for friends.

That is why I prefer to go alone, I get to see everything in New Orleans in one day. I don't like anyone holding me up.

Well I know now Nancy

the update of my family members in New Orleans...

My cousin Deidre and her 2 children were in the attic but couldn't get out from the roof, so their neighbor has a boat and so the neighbor allowed
them to ride on the boat and then helicopter spotted them and lifted
them up, rescueing them.
Deidre and her 2 children are in San Antonio Shelter in the Air Force Base.

And my other cousin Bobo is on the 2nd floor with other people at a house, waiting to be rescue, I think they are safe.

And Shane, we don't know if he is safe or not.

So everybody else is okay... Thank goodness....

I hope Shane is safe.

My cousin Bobo walked on a bridge and was rescued by helicopter rescuer...
And was sent to San Antonio...

He felt the people there in San Antonio were very rude and too strict...
So he had money in his socks and bought airplane ticket and flew
to the Airport.

He said he will write a book about this storm.

And Shane is probably still in New Orleans. I hope he is found. :fingersx:

YAY, :applause: Clarence aka Shane has been found!!!!!!!!

Now my family is safe!!!! Shane is at the Red Cross Suite, whew!!!!

How was your trip in New Orlean??? That is good thing that your family is safe at the Red Cross shutter in New Orlean from hurricane kathina. :D

My trip there was relaxing. I just can't believe Los Angeles and New York City aren't like New Orleans... that is the kind of place all tourists should go.
But oh well, New Orleans is destroyed now I guess.

I had a bad dream before I went to New Orleans, but I drove
down there by myself anyway.

I was dreaming about me standing in the middle of the interstate, in the dark, and dead people look like zombies. I guess God is trying
to tell me something...

And then there Hurricane Katrina. oh man, I feel bad.
