Ever think when yu get so used to the controls of one game and you buy another game similiar to the old game you played?

Mine? I spent a month playing Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and I was so comfortable with the control button configuration for my xbox's Controller S then last night I swapped M-POD for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (the first edition lucky me lol!) and the controls for driving and shoting both got my hard-wired brain totally screwy! Whenever I got in a vehicle in Mercenaries, I have to press Button A for gas. I kept that thinking when I went back to GTA:SA and I mistakenely pressed A thinking it was gas when I should have used the right trigger for that!

Trust me its like when you get so used to driving a stick-shift car and enter a car with automatic, you just unconcusioncially move your left leg to a clutch pedal that does not even exist in a car with an auto! It's weird when you get so used to controls that you have memorized in a long time and suddenly think the default control buttons are the same as the old game!!

Experienced that yet?

I've had that similar problem before. This usually happens when I play driving games or adventure games. For driving games, I tend to use the handbrake (brakes back tires) to give myself a little skid so I can turn corners easily. Ordinary brakes (brakes all tires) don't work well. On another driving game, the button brakes instead of hand brakes. So, I crash. Oops! As for adventure games, it will usually be the attack button that's switched with something else. I'll be running and approaching an enemy. I press the button that I'm used to as attack, and what happens? I jump! Argh!

Yes.. You are not last person on earth.. I had expreinced same things as yours..

I do sometime confuse myself with controller in my hand to play the first shooters like WW2 i.e BiA, MOV or Mainly shooters aka GR2 SS on and on.. because I have many first shooters games

I just being self-disciples like when I start to play the first shooter [depend what kind of the game you play] on video game as warm up as controller tell me to knoweldge which shoot for button "a" or button "trigger" , mele for button "x" on and on before I seriously play the mission on it.. avoid confusion with controller as depend on what kind of game you play.. ;)
