Taylor,

Which website would you recommend for me to check people's background, address, phone number, etc? I dont know which website that I could trust and not to be ripped off If I pay for the service...however., is there any free website I could lurk into or have to pay for the fee?

Many thanks..

KnowX rocks. But it ain’t free. It ain’t even cheap. If you want criminal records, those can be tough to obtain. Not every state lets its citizens be privy to that info. But try the web site of your county superior court. You might be surprised at what you can dig up there. As for addresses and phone numbers, try typing the guy’s name into Google. Again, you might be surprised at what pops up.

It may violate their privacy without their permission. They may not like it and possibly sue for obtainin' their private informations without their consent/knowledge.

Im trying to find my old friends and want to contact them...that is not violate their privacy...anyhow, i would prefer to check someone s background to make sure if the person is not criminal.

Levonian offers some great advice. I use KnowX on occasion. Before spending money, look around for free resources. A lot of it depends on what exactly you are looking for. For example, if you have an idea of where they live, you can check Anywho.com

For background checks, you can try the Knowx site, but before you spend money, take a look at your state court system. In Maryland, you can search for names for offenses (even traffic tickets). It comes in very handy and many states have them. You may have to do some searching around to find it, though. Another good resource is Classmates and I use it often to look up old friends, etc.

Ok. I understand now. :ty: :)

http://www.deafconnect.com/ or try this ? when if you click that then click where you live in like you live in Usa then click that then again click "Untied States" then click where you want to know where they live then click a to z then find someone ? :) I hope so this help :)

A good example: I just went to the web page of the Ventura County Superior Court this morning and found out that somebody who conned my mother on a paint job a few years ago has a warrant out for his arrest. :)

I checked out anywho.com—pretty impressive, but also pretty pricey. Try the free stuff first. I tested anywho.com by typing in the name of somebody in Oregon who I haven’t seen in about 15 years. Anywho gave me their phone number and offered to sell me their address. Google gave me the address for free.

I think that would be good when I open a business and hire people then if they don't show up on any of the public or private records then I will check with the I.N.S. to see if that is an illegal alien and do my American duty to report them to the I.N.S. and they can come to arrest the illegal alien but then again, in the wrong hands this researching tool could be abused for criminal purposes. Like with anything that is being used, there are two ways, the one is a law abiding way and the another one is a illegal way. I can see that would help people who open their own businesses.

Neither—it only contains records of cases filed in Ventura County.
