Attn: Cooliefroggie or anyone, I need your feedback because I have a new pet.

Hellllllloo Im backkkkkk for the attention.. My son's playing in the bedroom *playstation2* so im grab my time to post short for this one..

Baby Frogs....You would have to show me what it look like.. If Tadpoles.. it would alway lives in water.... Toad is kinda baby but starting to be a frog... I suspectious that you may have a wild toad that your kid pick it up from anywhere.. If you have a tree frog that would sit and change color when they sit on it.

How to care Toads and Frogs..

10 or 22 inch fish tank

get good light that has heat to give toad and frog thinks that they are in dessert.

Get a dark color bowl as nature color and pour fresh water..

Get an fake grass that you can buy from any pet store.. but you can get real grass and mixed also bring some real tree branchs to sit on it.

Feed Crickets.. those are much cheaper.. 1 dozen cost u like 2 dollars.. but u will have to get small crickets not large or meduim.. it can choke the frog..

When you pick the frogs.. alway wash your hands after that so u won't get warts on your hands..

clean every 3 weeks... Don't wash your tank with any of cleaning stuff.. just use HOT water to clean... that's all you do..

Oh by the way.. you would need to get a background to look like nature too.. it will help them to feel that they are at home..

I used to have 2 frogs and i named Flipper and Kermit..... They alive pretty 3 or 4 years.. they died by the natrual.. cuz Frogs has a short life...

wow, Thank you for advise, Cooliefroggie and Cheri but..... I'm afraid that I found both died yesterday. :(


As I told you last Friday that Alan put 2 frogs with grasses and leaves into large paddle pool.
On next day in the morning, we breakfast at our garden before leave for BBQ party at Rebah./Spa clinic in Bad Grönenbach. Alan check either frogs are okay or not. Alan was upset and said that 2 frogs are gone. I was like :eek: and tried to look for frogs because Alan put alot of leaves and grasses into paddle pool which it's hard for us to find where frogs is. We believe that they are gone...
On Sunday morning, breakfast at garden as usual. After breakfast, my hubby and I got water from paddle pool to water every flowers/fruits trees/berries etc until they are empty and was going to clean them and fresh the water again. We found 2 dead frogs lied in the paddle pool. It look like that they drown. :( Alan is upset and want to replace dead frogs with other frogs. I told him to not do that and explain him why the frogs are not acceptance to garden but lake/pond where the frogs and their family come from. It's not nice to take baby frogs away from their mother. (I didn't tell Alan what you advised me here how to take care of frogs :eek:). It take few minutes to convince Alan to leave baby frogs alone with their mother. *whew*

I still thank you for your interesting advise how to take care of frogs... It's very interesting.
 
aww depressing. I had to dig dead frogs out of swimming pool when I was growing up,, bec choride kills.. sometimes I found several live frogs. I would hose them down with fresh water, they seems ok. We do have big bullfrogs.. they are HUGE!!! :ugh:

Well, It's ok because You didn't know what to do with the froggie the first place, It was kinda too late to collect all the advices. But now you know hon, Next time you'll be more prepare for your next new froggies :hug:

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!! Im so so sorry.. I wish i could come over and help you to take care of frogs so make alan feel better.. now i m sad for alan.
 
Yeah, I know it´s VERY last minute that Alan brought 2 baby frogs last Friday evening.:ugh: They are dead because we don´t know how to take care of them... :ugh:

It would be different when we need feedback before we take new pet in the house then we will know how to take care of them... You know what the children alike... :eek:

Lieb, Why don't you try ask pet shop and to regarding informaiton about the frogs... They would be pleasant w/you and giving you out information... and show you what look alike frog around the fish tank (Aqurieuim)sp?

Would be great benefits to get know more about frog's stuff informaiton too.

Yeah, Alan brought baby frogs in evening which it´s too late to drive to Pet store to ask for feedback... :eek:

On next day we drove off to Bad Grönenbach after finish our breakfast. We thought the baby frogs are runaway when Alan told me that he can´t find 2 frogs in paddle pool.

On sunday morning after breakfast we found 2 dead frogs in the paddle pool after empty the water to feed our garden. :eek:

Well, I already explain Alan to not take baby frogs from their mother. Leave frogs alone where they come from...

None of 2 frogs are in my basement... My both cats make sure that any little animals are not allow in my house... :smash:
