CNN just announced that Pope John Paul II has died, just a few minutes ago.

Tweetybird has confirmed it over AIM to me...excuse me.

I am - well - I am overcome with tears, as he is from my father's country, and he was good to us...

yea i am serious!!!! he passed away.. i saw on CNN... go look at yahoo or on news tv..
 
:confused: Because I was just looking at CCN.com right now and it still says that Pope is clinging to life right at this moment, and it is a breaking news too.


EDIT: Oh yeah! I saw Yahoo breaking news and it DOES say that Pope has died...but there is no Vatican confirmation yet.
 
The Pope's death hasn't been confirmed by CNN yet. They only reported that the Italian media are saying that the Pope has died. But the Vatican hasn't officially announced it yet so it's not official yet.

Pope's death is not official yet, we must wait for the official word from the Vatican.
 
You guys are both right. CNN is saying that the Pope has died, but the Vatican has yet to confirm it. I would say Tweety is right, and it's just a matter of an official announcement.

Right now the news are a bit muddled - some says that the Pope has died, and some says he's clinging to life - keep praying for him.

Wait, Pope hasn't dead, Here's latest report:



VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Italian media gave contradictory reports about Pope John Paul's vital signs on Friday, first saying his heart and brain activity had stopped and then reporting this was not true.

There was no official comment from the Vatican.

The first reports, picked up by the state broadcaster RAI, said his electrocardiogram had gone flat. The ADNkronos news agency said monitoring showed his brain activity had halted.

But Sky Italia television later quoted Vatican sources saying both his brain and heart were still functioning.
 
If he is brain dead but still alive, I hope they don't pull out his feeding tube.
