The subject doesn't matter, really. It's the reasons behind that makes this so bad; as well as her admitting she wanted to get us riled up. For what purpose? She didn't say, but....

ADers are free to draw their own conclusions. I'm sure I'll hear more from her once she reads these comments, but, she brought this on herself.
 
I might have sidetracked the thread by calling her "apology" bogus. I thought she was just being off the wall. I enjoyed playing with her. She either defended herself or ignored the obvious. I was prepared to play the game as long as it took.

So, did the men in white coats bring her back to her room? Does she have a bunch of chickens under the bed?

People do it all the time. Not just dressing up as Elvis but others as well. Elvis was a BIG part of Rock & Roll, just as the Beatles and others. I was never a fan of Elvis, but I did like a few of his songs. John Lennon was good as were The Beatles and John was taken too soon. Elvis impersonators may be tacky as all get out, but there is still good money being an Elvis impersonator from what I understand.

If she's thinking about becoming an RN she needs to up her maturity level by one million. It's one thing to kid around and be goofy occasionally, but from what I have read here at AD.com this is a constant thing. I understand she may have a lot of issues in her life right now but this is just totally off the wall and uncalled for. If you don't want to be seen a certain way, then don't project yourself in that way.

She's just very immature. She brings a lot of negative attention to herself.

There you go. There's comes a point in life where one must become an adult. She's thirty years old. Time to start acting like a grown-up.
 
well....some may have gotten all "rilled up and panties in a wad"...but at least this thread was a lot better than matajan's....whiny, whiny...."why, why, why, why"
 
I just got finished reading all the posts between ADers and Lucia. I laughed so hard and thought it is funny.

Oceanbreeze, lighten up and feel relieve that we had been put up with negative threads for a long time with heated debate like FJ and Matajan. They have made us go crazy trying to explain. Yeah, Lucia is bore and want to vent as getting us rile up with funny idea. If she is gay, that is her business. Everyone of us should not be ashame of ourselves as who we are like being deaf and not let anyone try change us and be ashame of our deafness and sexual preferences. Just enjoy reading and it is all in fun. I understand what Lucia is trying to say. Right on, Lucia. :thumb:

Um, no. Sorry, Bebonang. I'm not at liberty to explain what is going on with Lucia, but, she needs to take a step back and take care of herself. This was not the result of someone having fun or whatever. This was more serious than that.

I think it's up to Lucia to explain or to stay mum about her issues. I'm not saying anything more.

Are you trying to say you want to have a serious thread instead of a fun thread? You must be out of your mind. :roll: Like Deafsceptic mention about brain cell that has been clog up with seriousness and need a free break to have a laugh and fun with guessing. It is like something to do. :cool2:

Out of my mind? Nope. This is serious, but it's on Lucia to take care of herself. It's also on her to act her age and take responsiblity for herself. She's an adult who needs to act like an adult.

As for negative threads, Lucia has posted plenty of those herself. I'm going by what she said to me in IMs. She said to me that she WANTED to cause trouble here on AD. That she WANTED to get ADers riled up. That's not good. It also comes dangerously close to breaking an AD rule regarding starting flame wars. This thread may have been funny at first glance, but, it made no sense. It also should be called into question regarding her motives. They were less than genuine regarding AD.
