I saw both newest Blackjack II or Moto Q9H on the AT&T website. The Blackjack II has improved the design such as keyboard and screen. It has big screen than Moto Q9H. I didn't play with it at ATT store.
I heard that most people prefer Moto Q9H over Blackjack II. Why? they can type Moto Q9H's keyboard speedy. The windows mobile 6.1 will update on Moto Q9H. Windows Mobile 6.1 has featured copy/paste, threaded sms and finally wifi included! I think it is pro not standard. Why not you look at
Windows Mobile 6.1 | The Boy Genius Report. I am very impressed Windows Mobile 6.1 than standard.
Is anyone using Blackjack II or Moto Q9H? Please give me pros or cons on both Blackjack II or Moto Q9H.
Both Blackjack II or Moto Q9H will work on TAP program. Unfortunely, blackberry devices still don't work on TAP program :|
Well, tougest decision to choose Blackjack II, Moto Q9H and Blackberry Curve before I will get new one next month.
Snallga
Hi Snallga, If I were you, I would choice Moto Qh over BLKJACKII for guarantee! I already molested att moto q(h) at att store before I bought accessories somthing from att store for my TMO curve.
Moto Q's keyboard is easy to typing like sidekick's keyboard. but MOTO Qh's KYBD is more comforts and plently room for thumbs than sidekick. Heheh. Moto Q's camera is very crips. it has 128MB RAM, wow! (I wished that curve had 128MB RAM, heh). I heard that BlackBerry Connect support MOTO Q available in 2008.
BlackJack's keyboard is okay. BlackJack is the MAIN Multimedia like music, video capture, and playback.
WM6 is pretty same with wm5. wm6 is the minor improvment from wm5. I am honest with you, I never have own wm6 device like HTC or Treo or Moto Q. However there arent many apps for wm device of what I read the wm users from forums who compliants and frustrates for them.
My most concerning, both device can be battery drain easy, because of wm6 make them quicky drian like 6 to 7 hours period. you have to buy extra batteries for back up. its up to you. ( I could be wrong if wm6 is improve and reduce device's battery drain for hours).
I am happy with the blkbry curve without ANY REGRETS period.
(my predict that Moto q will come to tmo asap since Moto q is open for international GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE.)
One thing you can unlock att Moto Q or blackjack II for tmo plan/service instead of att plan/service, becasue att and tmobile running gsm, gpsr, edge, 3G, but tmobile doesn't have 3G, did you know that?
Good luck with your decision.
I agree with XBGMER. I would go with Moto Q9h hands down. I've seen BJII and played with it but I heard it has problems. Actually, I have my own Moto Q9h since last week. So far, it's the best! I liked BB Curve..was really nice device I had for 2 weeks but I decided to take it back for the Moto Q9h for same reason... BBs are not compatible with TAP plan, BB plans was too high and it don't have 3G.
It was tough decision between BB Curve and Moto Q9h. I'm so glad I kept Moto Q9h for many reasons beside TAP. My wife and I are very happy with both of our Moto Q9hs plus two of our AT&T managers have one, too. They heard no complaints or any problems from Moto Q9h customers. Yes, typing on keyboard is very comfortable and speedy. Even it has QWERTY keyboard it has T9 predictive text capabilities. Only need to type 1-3 letters for each words. It automatically completes rest of words in advance for you making your typings much faster.
It also can do much more than what BB can do. It can play animations on websites even on the homescreens you could create your own as well. Big Bonus for Moto Q9h can play YouTube videos without any problems or needing special programs to make it work right. It doesn't require going thru
www.m.youtube.com specifically made for mobiles. It can work with normal websites like
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
There are TONS of apps that you can do customize with wm devices. It just took me little time getting around with apps the more I have gotten used to it I found it very useful. I have Google Maps on it the map moves around very smoothly than Curve when I had it on before. Curve lagged when it had to retrieve to cover more grids when the blue dot moved near to edge of the screen. Other thing I found Moto Q9h vibrates up to 5 times while Curve can only vibrate up to 3 times.
My Moto Q9h battery lasts 2
full days with heavy usages. Moto Q9h has lot things that comes with it. It includes 2 kinds of batteries: standard and extended. I use extended because I like the way it rests on my fingers while holding the phone during typings plus longer battery. Standard battery lasts pretty good, too. When charging the phone, keyboard and around the navigation buttons has blue color pulsating glows until battery full then it stops so you will know it's full. Pretty cool!
Moto Q9h has 256 MB while curve has only 64 MB. That's big difference!
In my own opinion, Moto Q9h is more powerful device especially with 3G HSDPA. Internet runs blazing fast almost like cable! Curve has....EDGE
Hope this info helps...Good luck with your decision.
FYI: BeeJive Support informed me that JiveTalk IM will become available in 3 weeks for WM6 devices!
