ASL Question from a movie writer!

Hi there - I'm writing a movie where one of the major characters communicates with Sign Language.

I have several questions I need answered for my script. If anyone can help me answer a few questions via email I'd appreciate it.

DW Cooper. We think we found your parachute on the Washington state side of the Columbia River. The rigger who provided you with it is looking it over for identification. I will answer you deafie questions for part of loot.

I don't know if you want to come into the forum to read and chat. It sound like you want information for ASL for the character in the movie. Only solution is to go to the Hearing Society or at the Deaf School where you can come up front to ask questions on getting ASL information for the movie. I think you come to the wrong place here unless the ADers want to answer your questions about it. If you have a Deaf actor or Deaf actors or Deaf actresses, then you have to hire a interpreter for the Deaf. They will supply you with ASL information for that. Do I make any sense to you. Anyway, welcome aboard to the forum here. :)

Dave will kill me, I'm sure. David W. Cooper is a real script writer and is way too young to be DB Cooper of Boeing 727 fame.

The rest is real: a parachute was found recently near Battleground, Washington. The parachute rigger who gave packed 'chutes to the FBI back in '71 is looking over the remains, but it's most likely an old canopy someone was using for shade while rafting. But DB Cooper is still a hot celebrity in these parts.

It's been in the news here in Florida.
 
I think it's nice y'all in Florida have 'gators to clean up skydivers, old 'chutes, soggy cash, golfers who get too close to water hazards, and bikers who can't steer between the bridge abutments.

We are asking similar support from wildlife here in the Pacific northwest, but sealions are having too much fun ticking off anglers, and beavers just don't give a dam.
 
Okay back to the topic. I don't know D. W. Cooper, the scriptwriter. I am not sure what he want to write about like the Deaf story or Deaf couple walking passing by with signing to each other. I guess maybe he want to know about the ASL to put on the script to relate the story, I don't know. :dunno: It is like the same with Cold Case where there is a deaf person dead or relating to the dead deaf person, etc. The problem is that this is the forum for any deaf, hard of hearing and hearing(interpreters and parents with deaf children) to discuss about our deafness and our Culture and our Deaf community. Sometimes we get some hearies who are just interest in our ASL and Deaf Culture. I don't know much about the making of the movie with the script that the writer is trying to come up with an idea for a movie. We don't have that experience. Am I correct on that? :confused:
